The Super Smash Bros Fanfic (Name still to be determined)


There! I’m finally done! A new world existing of only video game characters!” says a mysterious ominous looking figure. “Yes sir! Very fine! A very fine world indeed sir!” A hunchbacked fellow in his mid-30’s or so says this to the mysterious man. “But, what if they rebel sir?” “Don’t worry E-Gore, they won’t. Besides, even if they did, my right hand will stop them. GO!” He throws his right hand into the swirling black and blue vortex onto a small arena-like platform. “Make sure that if any rebel, that you stop them in their tracks once they reach you! Be careful though, Master Hand, you may create other beings to mimic them if need be, but do not under-estimate them! Especially not that fat red plumber! His little brother you can easily deal with, but be careful of Mario! Now, go, fulfill your destiny!” Master Hand makes an “A-OK” sign with his fingers, and heads off into the vortex, leaving behind him a trail of blue sparkling particles. “But sir, what if Mario rebels along with everyone else?” “That won’t happen. I’ve made sure of it. I put them each into different worlds, only Mario and Luigi are living in the same area. They are our only true threat.” “Very perspective, sir! Very good!” “I know E-Gore, I know.” He begins to laugh evilly. E-Gore looks cautiously at his master’s left hand and only hand left. “Uh, sir? What about him?” He points to his left hand. “Oh yeah! I almost forgot all about him! Crazy Hand, destroy everything that Master Hand creates and forgets about. That way, he won’t get too powerful and overthrow me. GO! And follow him! But make sure not to be spotted!” He throws his left hand into the swirling vortex, and like Master Hand, he too, goes away. However his trail is of black and red, and he seems to twitch quite frequently. “E-Gore!!!” “Yes sir?” E-Gore creeps closer to his master. “Yes master?” “Make sure that they don’t get too out of control. Watch over them, and report to me periodically. If you need something, there’s food and soda in the fridge. Oh! Also, there are emergency numbers next to the phone. The number in green is my number.” “What do you mean sir?” E-Gore looked over to his master. “I mean, I’m leaving. I’m going away, I’m taking a vacation. I’m hitting the road.” “What do you mean, master?” “I mean, watch over them for me while I replenish my energy!” “Aye-aye sir!” E-Gore salutes his master while saying this. His master then leaves in a dark light. A black light envelops the mysterious man, and within moments, he is gone. “I’ve always wondered how he does that. It’s pretty damn cool! Now, on to watching the carnage unfold.” E-Gore turns to the portal, which now shows a toy box. He watches as Master Hand hovers past all of these places, placing polygons that resemble the soon-to-be warriors of the Toybox, and they hide and watch over the warriors to be. Crazy Hand, following Master Hand, destroys some of these polygons when they seemed too numerous to C.H. He simply laughs maniacally and follows behind M.H. “This is going along quite nicely. Master Tabuu, you will come to admire your hands more than you do now; treating them like crap on a daily basis. You will come to love them. Even if it means I have to take matters into my own hands and create my own havoc for Master Hand to stop! I will unleash Mario! He will fight his way to stop the hands, and in doing so, will reach Master Hand, fight him, be defeated, and Master will be so pleased with M.H.! I must do it.”


End of Prologue


“Hey Luigi! What’s happening?”
“Hang on a moment! The question is about to be asked.”
A few long moments pass by and…
“It says ‘What is the name of the princess that people sometimes mistake for a tanned Princess Peach?’ Isn’t it obvious?”
“Yeah, it’s Daisy isn’t it?”
“Yeah. It is. Oh hang on! He’s guessing now!”
“Hey how many lifelines does he have left?”
“He’s still got phone a friend left but that’s it. He’s made it this far; he’s only got two questions left after this. I think he’s going to make it! The first Toad to win a million dollars on a game show! This is so exciting!”
Luigi’s attention now returns to the TV.
“Is that your final answer?”
“Y-yes. Final answer.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. I’m sure.”
Ba-da-dummmmm…
“I’m sorry Ted, but that’s incorrect.”
Crowd “awwwsss” in dispair.
“Well then, what was the right answer?”
“It was-“
“Luigi, what happened? I don’t hear the TV anymore.”
“I paused it. You have got to see this. His Final answer is hilarious!”
The water turns off, followed by the radio that was playing in the restroom. “I’m coming! Don’t play it yet!”
“Don’t worry bro. I won’t.”
Mario comes running out of the bathroom, panting, and says “What is it?”
“Check this out man, check out what he guessed.”
Luigi then rewinds the DVR and hits play when the question is first said.
“Ok Ted, your eighth question. Two more after this one, and you win 1,000,000 dollars!”
“I know I know I know! I don’t need any more pressure thank you!”
“Alright. Your next question: ‘What is the name of the Princess that people often mistake for a tanned Princess Peach?’ Is it: A-Princess Plum; B-Princess Rosalina; C-Princess Daisy; D-Mario?”
“That’s a hard one. Uh… Is it…D?”
“Is that your final answer?”
“Y-yes it is.”
“Are you sure?”
“I am sure.”
Luigi pauses the show. Mario stares at the TV in disbelief. “Did he just say-that I look like a tanned Peach?!”
“Yeah, he did! Can you believe it?!” Luigi starts to roll around the floor laughing hard.
“It’s not funny Luigi… It’s not that funny.”
“ARE YOU KIDDING?! It’s hilarious!” He continues to roll around bursting into tears.
Mario watches Luigi rolling around on the floor. He says nothing.
“What’s the matter Mario-oh, I mean, Daisy?” Luigi laughs even harder and starts to gasp for air.
“I hope you choke on your own laughter Luigi. If you need me, I’ll be in our room.” Mario then storms up the stairs towards their rooms.
“Hey, Daisy, are you going to powder your nose and put on your make-up now?”
Mario slams the room door, hearing Luigi start hacking and coughing. “Dang bastard. Always cracking jokes at other people’s expense. I hope he gets a taste of his own medicine soon.”
Then, suddenly, there is a loud thump on the roof. Only Mario seems to have heard it.
“Hey Luigi? Was that you?”
“Was what me?”
“That loud thump. I heard a really loud thump like sound on the roof.”
“Then how could it had been me? I’m in the living room!”
Mario begins to respond, but then, the thump happens again but even louder. :OK seriously! How are you not hearing that!”
“I heard it just now! What the Hell was that?!”
“I’ll go check it out. You wait here.”
“NO WAY MAN! YOU ALWAYS CHECK IT OUT! This time I’M checking it out!”
Mario stares at his little brother in shock. “What? Really?”
“Yeah. You stay here.”
Luigi leaves and leaves Mario’s jaw still on the floor, and runs back inside almost immediately after going out.
“Mario! You have got to see this!”
Mario rushes out, wondering what it could be. Was Bowser attacking his house? Was Peach there? Was it Rosalina butt-naked on their lawn pretending to be a dog? Whatever it was, he just HAD to see.
Mario stands next to Luigi who is looking up into the sky, pointing in fear, unmoving, resembling Hammy the Squirrel, going “Scary Hand”. Mario looks up where Luigi is pointing, and notices a White Glove just flying by, dropping human-shaped purple things.
“Luigi, what do you think those things are?”
“Scary Hand…”
“Hey Luigi, you alright?”
“Scary Hand…”
Mario moves in front of Luigi who looks down at him and says “Scary Naked Man!” Mario looks down, and finally realizes that he forgot to put on his towel when he got out of the shower. “Oops…”
“That’s not the scariest thing. Mario, look behind you.”
“Yes Luigi, I know I’m naked, now stop it ok-“
“NO! REALLY! Look right behind you!”
Mario turns, and sees the purple things, twist and turning into the shape of him! “What the Hell?!” There are two of them. One is taller than the other one, while the first one is fatter than the second one.
“Uh…Mario? I think they are us…”
“Don’t be ridiculous Luigi. They can’t be us, because we are us. Now how would that be-“
Before he can even finish his sentence, his right arm gets burned by a green fireball.
“WHAT?!”
“I told you! They’re us! How else would he be able to use a green fireball?!”
“Good point. How is that-“

“Ow! Stop that!”
“Mario, I don’t think they are going to stop.”
“What makes you think that?”
“Turn around.”
Mario turns, and goes flying back towards Luigi. Before he does, he only saw a purple fist right in front of his face.
“Luigi.”
“Yeah?”
“Get ready to fight!”
Mario gets up and poses, ready to fight, but notices that Luigi is already beaten his double.
“Hey, Mario, they are really easy to defeat!”
“What? Seriously?”
“Yeah! Watch this!”
Luigi punches Mario’s double who flies into a wall of their house. It falls down, rubbing it’s head.
“Luigi! Dibs!”
Mario runs over to the double, and vertically head butts it. It goes flying up so high, that it becomes a star, and twinkles.
“Wow. They are easy to beat.”
“I told you s-“
“GAME SET!”
Mario and Luigi look around, wondering where the voice came from.
“Who said that?! Show yourself!”
“YOU CAN SIMPLY CALL ME GAMER! I AM YOUR FOLLOWER, IN A WAY.”
“Oooo-kaaayyyyy…did you follow any of that Luigi?”
“Yeah. He’s gonna follow us as we go on an adventure to save the Mushroom Kingdom.”
“NOT ONLY THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM, BUT THE ENTIRE TOYBOX YOU LIVE IN!”
“Wait, the what?”
“Did he just say ‘Toybox’?”
“YES I DID. THAT’S WHERE YOU ARE AT NOW! YOU SEE, YOU ARE JUST AN EXACT COPY OF THE REAL MARIO AND LUIGI. EVERYONE YOU WILL MEET WILL JOIN YOUR TEAM WHEN YOU BEAT HIM OR HER. FOX, PEACH, KIRBY, AND EVEN-“
“Wait, did you just say Peach?”
“YEAH, EVERYBODY FROM JIGGLYPUFF TO BOWSER, MARTH TO LINK, ZELDA TO PEACH, YOU NAME ‘EM, THEY’RE PROBABLY GONNA BE ON YOUR PATH. BUT DON’T WORRY, ONCE YOU BEAT THEM, THE SPELL WILL WEAR OFF, AND THEY WILL REGAIN THEIR MIND CONTROL.”
“So, in other words, we will be saving worlds just by fighting those things?”
“No Luigi. We’re going to have to fight the REAL deals. It’ll be tough, but we can do it! So where to first Gamer?”
“THAT’S UP TO YOU. BUT, YOU HAVE TO GO IN ORDER. FIRST UP, IT’S FOX AND FALCO.”
“Hey Luigi, ever heard of them?”
“No. This would be the first time. Do you think that we can take them?”
“Oh don’t be such a worry-Wart Luigi! We can do this easy!”
“Yeah, but what about that Hand we saw?”
“YOU SAW MASTER HAND?! WHERE DID HE GO?!”
“You know it? What is it?”
“IT’S A HAND OF THE ALMIGHTY SHINU-JENSEI! IT CAN CREATE ANYTHING! EVEN OTHER MARIO’S FOR YOU TO FIGHT! THE MORE THERE ARE, THE WEAKER THEY ARE THOUGH.”
“Wait, one of his hands? What about the other one?”
“THE OTHER ONE IS CRAZY HAND. HE DESTROYS WHATEVER THE HELL HE WANTS. JUST HOPE YOU DON’T RUN INTO HIM. AND HE IS AS HANDSOME AS PRINCE FREAKING CHARMING!”
“I got it. Master Hand creates, while Crazy Hand destroys.”
“EXACTLY.”
“Then Mario, maybe we ought to get going!”
Mario is over at the flowerbed beside the house watering his Fire-Flowers. He looks over to Luigi. “Right.”
Suddenly, a chest as big as Luigi lands right in front of them. Mario opens the chest, pulls out a map, and the “opening a chest” tune from Zelda: Ocarina of Time plays.
Mario says “what the?”
Luigi-“I don’t even know.”
“YOUR WELCOME. IT’S A GIFT FROM ME. IT’LL TAKE YOU TO YOUR FIRST DESTINATION. YOUR FIRST TWO TARGETS ARE FOX AND FALCO. AFTER THEM, YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT NESS, KIRBY, BOWSER, JIGGLY PUFF WITH PIKACHU AND MEWTWO, AND LASTLY, MASTER HAND HIMSELF.”
“Wow. So much for choosing our own paths, huh?”
“Just shut up Luigi. We gotta get going.”
Suddenly, the map starts to glow a deep blue, and opens a portal which then, sucks up the two of them. The next thing they know, they are in space. Luigi starts to gag and choke, while Mario seems very calm.
“Uh, Luigi?”
Luigi is a bit busy choking.
“Luigi! Just breath!”
Luigi then says, while gagging, “I can’t! we’re out in space!”
“Then how am I breathing?”
“What?”
“JUST BREATHE YOU IDIOT!”
Luigi takes in a deep breath all loony, and then realizes that he can breathe.
Luigi seems very confused. He turns to Mario and says “how is this possible?”
Mario is also a bit confused. He, however, is more curious than anything else. How did that map do that? And how did that chest come out of absolutely nowhere? And most of all, how did-
Mario’s thoughts are interrupted by a british or English accented voice. “You are in restricted air-space! Turn back now!”
Mario looks around. Turns to Luigi, and says, “Who said that?”
Luigi shrugs.
“I did.”
Mario and Luigi look around. Finally, after a few moments of silence, Luigi says, “we don’t see you. Show yourself you coward!”
Mario’s shocked by his brother’s words. “LUIGI!!! I apologize for my brother’s behavior. But, where are we anyway?”
A different voice pipes into the conversation. “Sorry, but that’s classified. I’m afraid that we must take you into custody.”
Mario gasps softly. “What?”
The British/English voice takes over again. This time it’s talking to the second voice. “All right Falco, take them in.”
An Arwing approaches the Super Cosmos Brothers, and activates a beam of green light. It’s a tractor-beam. It takes them over to the Star Fox. Luigi begins to panic. “Where are they taking us?! Mario I’m scared stiff! I wanna go home!”
Mario shakes his head in disbelief. “Luigi, stop being such a chicken.”
“WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!” Screams a voice from the Arwing. “DID YOU JUST CALL ME A CHICKEN? A CHICKEN OF ALL THINGS?!”
Mario looks up toward the Arwing and sees a blue bird at it’s controls. “I wasn’t talk-“
“He wasn’t talking to you bird-boy, he was talking to me!” yells Luigi.
“Luigi. Again, please shut up.”
“But-“ he stammers.
“BUT NOTHING!” Mario begins to whisper now. “Remember GAMER told us that Fox and Falco were our first opponents? They must be them!”
The blue bird-like anthropod leans over in the cockpit to look down at Mario and Luigi. “How do you know our names?”
The Arwing comes up to the Star Fox. “We were told them by GAMER.”
Fox comes over in his Arwing and pairs up with the blue bird. “Hey Falco! He must be the one!”
“No way, there’s two of them.”
“How else would he know the name Gamer?”
Falco scratches his beak, thinking. He finally realizes the predicament of their current situation. “Should we take them to her? She would know for certain…”
Fox seems to turn red in the face when ‘she’ was mentioned. He starts to reply, but his voice cracks slightly. He clears his throat, and says “Falco, switch over to the comlink.”
Falco nods and does so. Fox resumes his previous sentence. “No way! She’s on vacation now, remember? Besides…we kinda had an argument the other day and-“
Falco screams into the communicator on his helmet. “AGAIN?! Jeez Fox! That’s the fifth time this week! And it’s only Tuesday!” Falco laughs a little at his own little funny. Fox didn’t seem too amused. “That’s beside the point! Just take them onto the Star Fox.”
“Alright, alright, alright. Fine.” He heads over to the ship that’s about as big as Bowser’s ship from Paper Mario.
Fox stops him about halfway. “I’ll catch up with you later.”
Falco turns his head in the cockpit towards Fox’s Arwing. “Wait. You mean that you’re going again?” He groans.”…Fine. See ya on board later, I suppose.”
Falco takes Mario and Luigi on board, and Fox stays outside and starts patrolling. Once Falco is out of sight and on board the Star Fox, he hits his boosters and heads off into the distance.

Back on board with Falco, Mario, and Luigi, Falco is keeping an eye on both of them. They are in the guest room. They have been talking non-stop about their friends back home and about Peach and Daisy.
About ten minutes pass by.
Falco can’t take another moment of their constant chatter. “WILL YOU BOTH JUST SHUT UP!? Who cares about your Princess Plum and the Toadstool Kingdom?! Who cares about your Princess Dainty and Sarasaland?! Just shut the hell up!”
Luigi jumps and looks in shock at Falco. Mario is just startled. Then Luigi says to Mario “I think maybe we might’ve made him angry.”
Mario says sarcastically, “Wow Luigi, really? You think so?”
Falco just continues to watch the Super Mario Bros. with major suspicion. “Where did you guys say you were from again?” he growls. He’s still a little angry from their non-stop talking.
Mario is the first to respond. “We’re from-“
“Get on with it!” Falco yells impatiently.
Mario flinches. Falco glares at him. Luigi continues for Mario. “We are from, like we were saying earlier, the Mushroom Kingdom. And there we are known as Mario and Luigi; the Super Mario Bros. We help rescue royal families and their friends. Some are toads, people with mushroom heads, and some are from as far away as space.”
“Explain the space people.” Falco quickly asks, with a slight glint in his eye.
Mario takes over. “Princess Rosalina. Ever heard of her?”
Falco shakes his head. “No. I haven’t.”
Luigi asks almost immediately after Falco is done “So what about you and that dog? What’s your deal?”
Falco says angrily at Luigi “HE IS NO DOG! HE IS A FOX!”
Luigi cowers slightly at Falco’s heightened voice. He recovers quite quickly, to Mario’s surprise, and then Luigi continues. “You didn’t have to scream! It was just a simple question!”
Falco breathes in and out to calm down. A few moments later, Falco resumes. “I am Falco. And that ‘dog’ of which you speak, I assume you mean Fox. There’s also Slippy, but he’s not all that important. Not as much anyway…Then there’s Krystal, Fox’s girlfriend.”
Luigi whistles. Then he whispers to Mario “Wow. A lot of characters in this world, huh?” Mario nods in agreement.
Falco looks over to Luigi. “What was that?”
“Huh? Oh nothing.”
Falco looks Luigi over, and turns back to Mario. “Now, tell me some more about your girlfriend. Peach, I believe you called her?”
Mario blushes slightly and turns away from Falco. “Well, you see, we…umm…we-uh…”
Luigi interrupts. “What he is trying to say is, they have never gone out on a date but they still seem very close. Most say, closer than just boy and girlfriends. Personally, I agree with them.”
Mario blushes so hard that you can’t tell where the head stops and the hat starts. “Luigi, you’re not helping!”
“What? He asked and you weren’t answering. Anyone would’ve done that if they knew about you and the Princess.”
Falco lounges back into the couch trying to absorb all of this information. He starts thinking. If what they just said is true, then we just got done capturing heroes from way out of town. He looks down to the Mario Bros. “Oh man. I apologize for my behavior earlier, Mario Bros., we didn’t know we were taking into custody heroes like us.”
Mario hears this and asks “What do you mean like us? You mean you and Fox?”
“No. I mean like me and freakin’ Slippy. YES ME AND FOX!”
Lui9gi jumps again at Falco yelling. “Sorry man! Jeez! Short tempered aren’t you?”
Falco stares at Luigi in silent anger.
Luigi continues talking. “Why aren’t you responding?”
Mario looks over to his brother. “Luigi, why not just leave him alone. We’re guests (kind of) and must act as such. That’s manners. And maybe some courtesy too.”
“Fine. Just one more question.”
Falco wonders what it is. “Shoot.”
“Where did Fox go anyway?”
Falco doesn’t answer.
“Luigi, just leave him alone” Mario says sympathetically.
“Well, where’d he go? Why don’t you answer?”
Mario gets a bit p’d off by being ignored. “Luigi! Quit being a jack@$$!”
“Mario, stop it! Using such language in the presence of an officer of the Law! Now answer me Falco, why don’t you tell us?”
“Because.” Falco finally says.
“Because why?”
“Because it’s classified.”
“Obviously not for you though.”
“Because I work with Fox which gives me certain
privileges.”
“How does that work?”
“It just does.”
“But why?”
“Because it does.”
Luigi continues being a jack@$$ asking yet again “Why?”
Falco yells “Because shut up! It’s classified, so just shut up about it!”
Luigi gets a bit more ticked by this reaction. “No, YOU shut up!”
“I am in charge here now you shut up!”
“No one’s the boss of me except Princess Daisy! Especially not an overgrown talking pigeon who thinks he’s a bad@$$.”
Falco’s feathers turn purple form rage. “I AM A BAD@$$ FOR YOUR INFORMATION!”
“Prove it! Fight me!”
Mario just stays back and watches the two go back and forth. “This won’t end well.”
A voice next to Mario’s left responds “Sure doesn’t look like it. But, out of curiosity, who do you think would win?”
“My Brother definitely. Why do you ask?”
“Because Falco is really tough. Maybe even tougher than Fox.”
“Oh? And how would you be able to tell that?” Mario says this while turning to face the talking person. He sees, at first, just a gun holser with a black pistol in it. He looks up, and sees a Fox with sci-fi headgear like Falco’s is staring right at him. Mario then just stares at him. “Wait, aren’t you…”
“Yes, I’m Fox. You have already met Falco as I can see, but have you met Slippy yet?”
Mario remains silent, but manages to shake his head no.
“Good, ‘cause I don’t know if you would want to. He’s a bit eccentric-if you catch my drift.”
Mario snaps out of his little fit and says “So why would Falco win?”
“He’s a strong fighter, that’s why.”
“Well Luigi is strong too. Overall I’m better though, but he is a tough opponent to beat. Even for me, and I’m his twin brother. I know all of his weaknesses, and it still takes me several tries just to hit him at all. That’s why I think he would win.”
“Well, I guess we won’t get to find out then.”
“WHAT?” Mario whips his head around to Fox. “Why do you say that?”
Fox points to the two feuding “2nd best” people. They are shaking hands.
“Hey Mario! I’m better!”
“But you didn’t even battle!”
“Yeah we did” says Falco, holding up a chessboard. “He’s better at Chess than I am. He was a good opponent! Even better than Fox is!”
“That’s because you always lose against me.”
“Exactly. This time, I actually came very close!”
Luigi approaches Mario and Fox. “So, where’d you get off to?”
Falco repeats himself saying that it was classified.
“I don’t care what it is! I wanna know!”
Fox walks up to Luigi. “Well, if you must know, I went on patrol for Wolf.”
Mario and Luigi both look at Fox and ask in unison “Who?”
Fox seems shocked by their response. “You don’t know Wolf?! You’re not from around here, are you?”
In unison: “Nope!”
Falco approaches to Fox and says “I just found that out not too long ago.”
“I see. Any clue who they are?”
“They are The Super Mario Bros. from the Mushroom Kingdom. They haven’t explained much, but that’s what I know in a nutshell.”
“The Super Mario Bros. huh? Never heard of them.”
“I haven’t even heard of the Mushroom Kingdom. Should we believe them sir?”
“I don’t know. For now, I suppose. We’ll constantly monitor them though.”

Later…

Fox is on a videophone with Luigi watching in the background.
“So how is your vacation Krystal?”
“It’s wonderful! I really needed this vay-cay! Thanks a bunch Fox!”
“Your welcome. Now-“
“But who is the green guy behind you?”
Before Fox could even answer, Luigi pushes him aside and replies for him. “I am Luigi Mario of the Mushroom Kingdom! An you are apparently this Krystal person that Fox talks about all the time in his sleep!”
Upon hearing this, Fox blushes slightly and Krystal giggles. “Oh really? Is that true Fox? Do you dream about me?” She starts to giggle louder. Sadly, Fox is stunned and can’t answer. He can’t believe that Luigi actually said that in front of him during a live connection!
“Don’t worry, you don’t have to answer” Krystal says after several quiet seconds. “I understand. So, Luigi,”
“Yes, Krystal?”
“Do me a favor would you?”
“Of course! What is it?”
“Watch over Fox for me. He can get into such troublesome predicaments you know!”
“Yeah. Got it!”
“Thank you Luigi!” She gives him a kiss through the video screen. Fox gets a little jealous. “Bye-bye now Foxxy, and be careful!” She hangs up. The screen flashes “CONNECTION LOST” and Fox gets over to the screen and turns it off. He turns and glares at Luigi who flinches.
“WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!”
“I just wanted to say ‘hi’ to the pretty fox…”
“Well, don’t be getting any ideas.”
“Don’t worry ‘Foxxy’, I won’t.”
Fox growls at Luigi. Then growls out “and why not?”
“Because I already have a special girl at home.”
Almost immediately, Fox’s attitude changes. “Who is it? Come on, tell me!”
“Her name is Daisy. She’s a princess of another kingdom in a parallel universe to me and Mario’s. The kingdom’s name is Sarasaland. And she-“
Fox interrupts. “Parrallel universe? What planet are you from anyway?”
“Earth. Why?”
Fox stiffens up. He seems a little shocked-scared even. “I-I’ll be right back. Hang on.” He runs out of the room. “Huh, I wonder what got into him?” Luigi is confused about this sudden change in Fox. “Eh, maybe it’s about Krystal. I better follow him.” Luigi gets up and begins to tail Fox (pun intended) until Fox stops just outside a door. Earlier, Luigi tried to open the door but it seemed impossible. Fox’s ears perk up. Luigi hides behind a corner of the hallway, just as Fox turns his head around to look behind him. Fox’s guard drops a bit and he whispers something to the door. Luigi begins to tail him again just as the door starts to close. What is inside, Luigi cannot even begin to fathom was possible!


Luigi follows Fox into the room. It’s completely dark except for a single round platform in the center. Luigi doesn’t see Fox anywhere. So he approaches the platform. Then, he’s grabbed from behind and hears somebody whisper in his ear: “Reveal thy name!” Luigi begins to cower but gulps it down. He then realizes that it’s Falco’s voice.
“FALCO! Why did you scare me like that?! What the hell-“
“SSHHH! Be quiet you green buffoon! Or we’ll get caught!” Luigi, confused, stupidly asks “what?”
Falco ignores him and drags him into a dark passageway towards his left. Luigi still struggling, asks “what the hell are you doing to me?!”
“Will you shut up! He’s coming back!”
Luigi, still confused, just looks up at Falco. Then sees that he’s pointing towards the round platform. It started glowing a purplish color. In it’s center, one of those polygons appear. Luigi begins to gasp, but Falco covers his mouth with his hands/wings. Luigi begins to understand at this point. Then, without warning, the polygon starts to glow a orange and white coloration. It starts to morph. Luigi just watches in horror as it becomes an exact replica of the Fox he thought he knew! It then leaves the room, leaving Falco and Luigi in the room alone.
Luigi looks back up to Falco and says “Hey Falco?”
Falco looks down. “What?”
“You can let go of me now.”
Falco gasps and sort of throws Luigi to the side. “Sorry! I didn’t mean-I…uh…I mean that-I’m not-“
“Never mind that now! We need to find the real Fox and rescue him!”
Falco breathes our a sigh of relief. “Where do you think we should start?”
Luigi ponders this for a little while. He paces the floor in front of Falco for what seemed like hours. Falco lies down on the floor waiting for Luigi to respond. Eventually, he falls asleep. Then…
“I’VE GOT IT!” Luigi screams, awaking Falco.
Falco puts his hand/wing over Luigi’s mouth quickly. He whispers loudly “YOU IDIOT! Do you want the polygon things to know we’re here?!”
Luigi kind of droops down in emotional distress.
Falco feels a little bad for the little guy. “So, uh, what was your plan?”
Luigi almost immediately looks back up and starts to reveal his plan. “Well first we…” We start to zoom out of the scene, slowly fading out to black, while Luigi continues revealing his plan in silence to us, while Falco continuesly nods his head. A few moments pass by, and then we come back up to Luigi who is stopped by Falco.
“I didn’t get any of that.”
Luigi sighs in disbelief. “Long story short, I want to tell Mario.”
“Oh. Ok, that’s cool.”
Finally fade out to black.

Meanwhile, back with Mario, he’s sipping on some coffee to keep himself awake. We see Luigi and Falco come up to him. Luigi starts to say that they have something to tell him, but is interrupted by Mario.
“Do not even start it with me bub. I’m not in the mood.”
Luigi jumps back in surprise at his brothers’ foul mood. “What’s wrong with you?! I have something very important to tell you! Just listen to th-“
“SHUT UP FAKER! I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE!”
Both Luigi and Falco jump back in surprise. Falco is the first to speak. “Huh? What are you talking about Mario?”
“They think I am gonna fall for it twice? How dumb do they think I am? Seriously, just how stupid do they think I am?!”
Luigi slowly takes a couple steps towards his seemingly crazy nuthouse of a brother. “:Mario? Who are you talking about?”
“Don’t play that coy little game with me! I know what you really are!”
Falco, a little bit ticked now, says “whatever you’re on Mario, you need to listen to me. You are on the Star Fox and my name is Falco. This here, is your brother Luigi. You are from the Mushroom Kingdom. You were taken here by me and Fox who both thought you were evil. And-“
“LIES! ALL LIES! QUIT GETTING INTO MY HEAD!”
Luigi looks over to Falco. “Hey, uh, I think he’s finally snapped. All those mushrooms must have-“
Mario stand up while Luigi is saying this. Then he interrupts saying “No. You don’t understand do you? You have tried to kill me twice now. Damn polygons. You won’t get me this time! Never trick Mario twice and think you can trick him again!”
Luigi seems scared. “What are you talking about Mario?”
“I mean, you think you can pose off as Luigi and Falco, come in here, get my guard down, and try to kill me?! No chance this time! Bring it on polygons!” Mario gets up and charges toward the two, fists a-blazing with the FireBrand. Luigi, instinctively, counters with the ThunderHand, shocking Mario into stopping in his tracks.
Mario shakes his head to bring himself to. “How did-how did you use that technique?! Polygons can only copy abilities to a certain extent, but that was a fully charged jab!” Mario gets up off the floor and walks over to Luigi and Falco who is still ready to fight off Mario in case he tries a dirty move. “Luigi, is that really you?”
Luigi yells “FINALLY! You recognize me! It took you this long? I’m appalled by you Mario!” Luigi starts laughing now, while Mario goes over to Falco. “So, I take it you are the real Falco then?”
“Duh” he says with a bit of attitude toward Mario.
“I can tell that now” Mario says with attitude to counter Falco. He turns to Luigi. “So, why are you here anyway? Last time I saw you Luigi was when you took off to talk with Fox in the galley.”
Luigi stops smiling and his expression turns serious. “That Fox was an imposter Mario. As soon as I mentioned he kinda twitched, not like he normally does, and he said that he’ll be right back. I was curious why he was acting that way, so I followed him to a room that I tried to open once before. He opened it with some kind of a key I’ve never seen before, but with us being in outer space with talking birds and foxes, I didn’t think twice. I followed him in, and I lost him then and there. I started to look around, and there was this big glowing blue platform in the middle of the room. I started to head over to it, but that’s when Falco pulled me over and into the corner. He covered my mouth to silence me, and he pointed over to the platform after a few moments of agitated silence, and I saw it. One of those polygons we fought at our house before we came here. They were easy for us to beat, but it was two on two. They were twice as easy to beat. This time, though, it’s just one. So we have to-“
Falco interrupts. “Wait. You mean to tell me that you’ve fought these things before? At your place? In a different dimension? Obviously, this is something beyond our power alone to control.”
Mario and Luigi look at Falco, then each other, and then they both start glaring at Falco who jumps back in shock. “What? Was it something I said?”
Mario starts toward Falco, who starts to back away. Luigi runs back behind him, and blocks his way out. “What’s going on here? What is the meaning of this? What are you doing?” Falco starts saying in a scared frenzy. “Mario dramatically approaches Falco from the front, and says that he’s not the real Falco. “What do you mean I’m not the real Falco? Of course I am! Are you nuts?!” Mario grabs Falco’s vest and pulls him down to Mario’s eyes where eye-contact is met. “UNHAND ME AT ONCE!”
Mario stares deeply into Falco’s eyes, and he punches Falco into a wall. Falco goes unconscious. We blackout with him.

Falco’s eyes begin to flutter open, and we see what he sees too. We’re in a pitch-black room. “Where…where am I? What happened?...Wait…Now I remember. I was attacked by the Mario Bros. They must be polygons. I’ve got to warn Fox!” He begins to get up, but can’t move. “What the…?” He looks down. His eyes begin to adjust to the darkness. He notices that he is tied up by rope. “What in the Sam hill is going on here?!” he yells.
“Perhaps that’s what you should be telling us you beg blue chicken.”
“What?! Who’s there?! Show yourself! Stop hiding!”
A different voice starts talking. “You were right my brother, he is an imposter. Good call!”
“Ok, seriously, this isn’t funny! Somebody turn on the lights!”
Mario claps his hands twice. The lights turn on in a bright flash. Falco flinches, and waits for his eyes to adjust. What he sees makes him gasp in horror! The Mario Bros.! “YOU?! YOU did this to me?! Why?!”
Mario looks over to Luigi and whispers “He is a persistent one, isn’t he?” Luigi looks over to Mario and whispers back “Yes he is. The final test now?” Mario nods in agreement. They both look back to Falco and untie him.
“Well it’s about time you hooligans! Why was I tied up anyway?!”
“You should know you imposter!” Mario screamed to Falco.
“ME?! What about YOU?! Huh?! YOU attacked ME, remember?! Why would I be the imposter?”
Luigi slaps Falco. Falco looks surprise at Luigi for doing something so bold. “Wh-What did you-aagghhh! Never mind that. What are you doing to me? I’m no imposter! You guys know me!”
Mario walks over and slaps Falco also. His hurt Falco a lot more than Luigi’s. “Because we already told you everything that happened to us before you abducted us in your Arwing, including the polygon fight that we had! Yet, you asked us why we didn’t tell you that. Now answer me this…” Falco gulps. “…why would we have to tell you that information twice? You said, in your little monologue when you first brought us aboard, that you remember everything that ever happened to you since the 3rd grade. Now, how could you forget something so easily?” Falco remains silent; staring at Mario in horror. Or so they think, it’s kinda hard to tell a bird’s emotions by their face alone, you know… “Answer me Falco.” Mario says nice and calm. Falco remains silent still. A bit louder “Answer me.” Falco open his beak to respond but nothing comes out. “I said ANSWER ME FALCO! OR I’LL CHOP YOUR HEAD OFF AND LET YOUR BODY RUN AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN!!!” Falco ‘eeps’ when he hears this and starts to tear up. Yes, tear up. Tears. Crying. Sadness. Etc. “ALRIGHT! Alright! Alright! I’ll tell you. I was sent along with the Fox polygon to watch over you in this dimension, and obviously, we failed.” Luigi walks over now. “What about the Fox and Falco we first met? Were they the real ones?” “Yes. Yes they were. We got here only about the time that you did. It’s hard to steer in space you know! Especially when you have no ship to steer with!”
Mario walks around the chair that Falco was tied in. He walks back toward Falco polygon calmly. “So, you ARE the polygon of Falco?”
“Hey Mario? Don’t do anything drastic.” “Don’t worry Luigi, he’s gonna get the just desserts he deserves…” Mario walks over to Falco polygon and prepares a fiery powerful punch. When he throws it towards Falco, he flinches. His eyes close. He waits the contact of the punch. He waits…and waits…and waits…he opens his eyes and notices that the fist is now an open palm. In it is a locator with a “Super Smash Bros” symbol on it. “What in the…?” Luigi looks shocked too. “What are you doing Mario? Finish him already!”
Mario looks up towards the Falco polygon and says “Want to join our team Falco?” Luigi’s jaw drops to the floor. Falco seems very confused. “…what…did you just say?” “I said, want to join our team? We could use you and Fox both on the team to save the worlds, and you seem like a very good fighter. So, Falco, what do you say?”
Luigi screams at his brother “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?! HE’S A POLYGON!”
“No, he’s not Luigi.” Luigi comes over to Mario and Falco still screaming. “WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!? HE IS TOO A POLYGON! YOU SAID SO YOURSELF!!!” “He’s not a polygon Luigi, he’s was testing us for our tales of being heroes. He was testing us to see if we were polygons.” Luigi’s jaw drops again. Much louder this time. “Isn’t that right, Falco?”
Falco just stares at Mario. Then looks at Luigi, jaw still on the floor staring at Mario, then he looks back to Mario. He remains silent and unmoving for several minutes. Then, “Are you sure you can trust what I say to you? He still thinks of me as a polygon. Will he attack me depending on what I say?”
Mario glances over at Luigi, than says “Yes. It’ll depend on what you say, but I will hold him back.”
“Very well then.” He looks over to Luigi then says “Yes. It was all a hoax. I was testing you, as you previously stated. Very good Mario,” Falco starts chuckling and clapping his hands/wings, “very good indeed. How did you figure it out? I must know.”
Mario sits down at a table nearby. “It was rather easy, ,actually. After I attacked you, I noticed you just standing there unmoving. I wondered why you wouldn’t attack me along with Luigi, then I had it. You weren’t a polygon. Otherwise, you would’ve attacked me along with Luigi.”
Luigi seems skeptical. “What are you talking about? You attacked us! Only I defended because you only attacked me! Falco had nothing to do with it!”
“Exactly Luigi. He did nothing instead of attacking. You blocked because I attacked you and only you.”
Luigi opens his mouth to argue, but remains silent. He can’t think of anything else to say.
“Well done Mario! Very well done! But you forgot one thing…the real polygon.”
“Nice try, Falco.” Mario begins to yell. “Hey Fox! You can come out now!” Falco seems taken aback, but remains silent. A few moments pass by, and then Fox reveals himself from the shadows. “Well done Mario! I guess you are the real deal! Way to go!” Fox congratulates Mario, leaving Luigi in his shadow. Yet again. “How did you know about that part?”
Mario adjusts his hat. Then says “I didn’t.”
Fox and Falco both yell “WHAT?!”
“I didn’t know. Until you guys told me, just now!” He begins to laugh. The other three just have the sweat drop on the back of their heads. Mario continues. “However, there is one thing I haven’t gotten yet…”
The two anthropods seem alert. “What do you mean?” asks Fox.
“I mean, the polygon that Luigi saw in that locked room. That’s what I don’t have yet.”
Fox looks over to Luigi. “What room?”
They follow Luigi into the hallway. Luigi is leading the three of them to the room. “It was right over here. This one here.” He points to a sliding vertical door. Fox laughs. “That’s just my training room. Watch.” He pulls out the same key that Luigi saw, he notices the Fox head on the tip and that the key itself is just a card. He slides it up a control panel near the left side of the door. The panel turns from blue to green, then back to blue. The panel then displays a “WELCOME FOX” message on it. The door opens to show the same room that Falco stopped Luigi in. “Well, come on in!” Fox says to the plumbers.

They both simply walk in. They are suddenly flooded by white light.
“WELCOME FOX, HOW MAY I HELP YOU TODAY?”
“Say hello to my training facility. In other words, my Grand Awesome Mechanical Energizer. Or, G.A.M.E. for short. Me and Falco are both really good at this, and on the internet rankings, we both place 1st and 3rd. I’m the 1st. Falco is 3rd. The 2nd, goes by an alias of GAMER in all caps. Just like the name you said told you of us when you first arrived. That’s why we didn’t blast you into oblivion when you first arrived in this area. We thought you might’ve been or somehow knew GAMER and-“
“You misunderstood Fox. Not that GAMER.” Mario interupts. “The GAMER I was talking about, was a voice we both heard that told us we had to fight different characters from different worlds to save the omniverse. In a matter of speaking.”
Fox seems somewhat puzzled. “So, you don’t know this other GAMER? That’s too bad. That was our only reason to keep you alive on this ship. Both Fox and Falco pull out their blasters. “Hey Fox, can I do it now, huh? I’ve been wanting to do this to the green one ever since they got here.”
Fox resumes as if Falco didn’tt even talk. “Now we have a different reason to trust you and keep you alive. This omniverse is apparently in peril, and you know how to save it, so, I’m in.” Falco seems a little upset, but quickly changes his mood. “Count me in too.” He says.
Mario pulls out the old map and notices something. Andross is colored in and revealed on it. It’s in the top right corner. Then it begins to glow a lighter blue than before. “Here we go again!” Mario says.
“Wait, this is how you got here?” asks Fox. Mario nods. Then, the portal opens up again, and then, at that precise moment, Slippy comes in from the bathroom. “Hey guys, some weird readings on the energy radar, I don’t know what…What is happening!?” He runs over to them, but the portal absorbs them and disappears before it can reach them. “Not again. They get to go on an adventure without me. AGAIN!”

Beginning of Kirby chapter


The group screams as they fall from the sky.
-Blam!-
“Oh…My head…is everyone else alright?”
Luigi is face first in the dirt, Fox is falling then lands perfectly in front of Mario, and Falco is stuck in a tree beside him. Luigi muffled by the dirt, “oh the irony…” Falco, muffled by the leaves, “oh shut up…” Fox looks over to Mario, who is chuckling at Luigi and Falco. When he sees Fox’s gaze, he immediately stops.
“Hey Mario, any idea where we are?”
Mario takes out the map. “Well it says here, next to Andross, I think ‘Pop Star-Dream Land’ or something. I’m not entirely sure…”
Suddenly, Mario sees something falling from the sky. “Hey, what’s that?”
Luigi finally gets his face outt of the ground, and sees the star. “Maybe it’s a falling star?” “It can’t be that obvious idiot!” yells Falco. Fox then hears something. “Hush” he calmly says to the others. Mario responds though. “What is it?” “I said hush” Fox snaps at him. Mario takes a few steps back. Fox looks up in the air at the star. It’s getting larger and larger. It’s coming towards them. No wait, it’s coming right for them! Fox jumps out of the way and prepares for battle. Mario does the same. “Luigi, get ready!” Mario yells. “I’m a bit busy at the moment eating dirt!” He replies. Luigi is still half-stuck in the ground. “Falco! You too!” Fox yells. “Also a little preoccupied!” Falco is struggling to get out of the tree’s tangling branches. The star zooms in on them and crashes into the ground just in front of them. Smoke clouds up their vision of the person or thing. “Wait until you see him move Mario, that’s when we strike!” Mario nods in agreement. As the smoke clears, nothing is visible except the crater and a Starship inside it. Mario lets Fox know with hand signals that he’s going to check it out. Fox nods in agreement. Mario stealthily walks over and looks inside the crater. He looks around very carefully, and heads back over to Fox. It’s all clear. Nothing I can make out. Fox lowers his guard a bit, and yells “Falco!” Falco struggles around a little bit and looks at something on his headgear through the lens. “It says something is nearby! I don’t know what though. It’s energy sig is a new one for me! Be careful!”
Fox looks back over to the crater. He sees something, ad cautiously, walks over to it. Mario and Luigi watch. Fox is next to the crater when Falco falls yelling from th tree. He hits several branches on the way down. Mar and Luigi hush him, and they turn back over to Fox. Falco rushes over to join up with him. They chat a little bit but they are out of earshot for the brothers. Then, A pink ball-shaped creature with wings appears behind Mario, and Luigi behind, behind Mario, yells out “I think I found it!” Mario turns around and the pink ball-like thing stays behind him. “Where is it Luigi?” “It’s right behind you!” Mario turns in complete circles with the ball-like thing staying behind him the entire time. Falco looks back and sees it, and pulls out his blaster and shoots it. It bounces off of Mario’s head and bounces towards Fox and Falco. It hits Falco in the head. It sits up and says “ow! That hurt you stupid bird! What was that for?!”
Fox turns around now and notices it. It’s about the size of a Toad but all pink.
Falco chimes in. “Sorry, I though you were…an evil thing.”
“Seriously?! You thought I was evil?! Where are you guys from?!” It yells at Falco.
Fox takes over. “I am from Andross and the two behind you are from the Mushroom Kingdom. And the bird, as you call him, is from-“
“That’s not important to a talking wad of gum.”
The ball-like creature gets up and screams “GUM?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN GUM?! I AM A STAR WARRIOR THANK YOU!!! AND THE NAME IS KIRBY!”
Falco snickers.
“What is so funny about ‘Kirby’? It’s a good name you know!”
Falco clears his throat. “Sorry.” He turns around and starts glaring at the tree that had him in several chokeholds earlier.
Kirby notices this. “What’s wrong bird-boy?”
“Don’t call me ‘bird-boy’ because my name is Falco. Not bird-boy. Got it?”
“Yeah sure whatever. So, what are you four doing here anyway?”
Mario starts up at this moment. “Well, it’s a bit complicated. Basically, long story short, we are saving the omniverse. Saving several worlds. We are currently recruiting members. I guess. These two came on their own decision. We didn’t invite them though.”
Luigi joins in at this being mentioned. “Yeah, they basically “hitched a ride” as it were!”
Falco grabs Luigi by the collar of his shirt. “Ya wanna say that again? To my face?”
Luigi quickly shakes his head no.
“Well then,” Kirby continues “Allow me to introduce myself properly. I am Kirby, and I am a ‘Star Warrior’. One who races across galaxies and helps to save planets and even entire glaxies at some times. I’ve heard tell of a Star Warrior who doesn’t even leave his home planet! I believe I heard the name Mario or something.”
Everybody except Kirby looks over to Mario, who says “what?”
Kirby notices everybody staring at Mario. “What’s going on here? Did I hurt him when I bounced off of him?”
Mario slowly walks up to Kirby. He kneels down, looks him in the eye, and says, “I’m Mario.”
Kirby blinks. “Wh-what? You-you are Mario?”
Mario nods his head. Everyone stays silent. Kirby approaches Mario, eyeing him suspiciously. He looks him up and down. After inspecting him, Kirby takes a few steps back. He opens his mouth, and inhales Mario! He swallows, taking a Mario hat and releasing Mario. Mario jumps back to the group.
“What the hell was that for?!” Luigi walks up to Mario. “Better yet, how did he do it?”
“I can do that as one of my abilities! It allow me to copy an opponents or an ally’s ability. For example:” Kirby throws his hand out, and releases a fireball exactly like Mario does. “I can now use fireballs! Same with your other basic special abilities. Blasters and other stuff included!”
Fox seems astounded. “That’s absolutely amazing! How did you learn to do that?”
Kirby looks over to Fox. “I was able to do it from birth. I don’t know how I learned it, to be honest. That ability is what turned me into a Star Warrior. Speaking of which, have any of you seen a blue thing kind of like me in shape and size? Most likely wearing a blue cloak, silver knight’s hemlet, and wielding a fire sword?”
The three shake their heads. “No, but he sounds pretty cool though!” yells Luigi. Mario slaps him across the head. “Ow! What was that for?!”
“You moron, obviously, that’s the bad guy of this dimension!”
“Actually…” Everyone turns to Kirby. “He’s not the worst. But he is the only present threat to Dream-Land. That’s the area where you’re at now. My home: Dream-Land. Anyway, the guy’s name is-“
The ground begins to shake. The sky darkens. A huge ship appears over the horizon, heading straight for the five heroes. Kirby’s expression turns very serious. “That’s him! That’s Meta-Knight’s ship, the Halberd!”
The four heroes turn to look at the ship. It’s gigantic in looks, the head of the ship looks like a silver knights helmet, it has four bat-like wings, a huge cannon on the top, and is bigger than the Star Fox and the Castle of Bowser combined!
Kirby’s expression changes again. This time, to anger. “I busted that thing once, and I can do it again! He fixes it, I bust it!” He looks around, sucks up Falco, swallows, releases Falco, and he turns into Wing Kirby. He flies off into the distance towards the Halberd. Mario and Luigi watch as he flies off, Fox watches Falco get pissed, and Falco tries to fly off after him. But, for some reason, he can’t fly. So, when he takes off, he starts to flap, and he faceplants into the dirt. Luigi simply chuckles at the sight of a bird faceplantin into a patch of dirt like a newbie skater. Fox rushes over to see if he is alright, and Mario just watches Kirby head out towards the humongous ship.
“Falco, are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine Fox. But Luigi might not be soon. He’s gonna get such a…hey, what’s up with Mario?”
The three turn to Mario, who’s look has turned a deadly serious. He gets something out from his pocket, and puts it on his hat. It’s a wing cap. He looks over to the others. “If you’re coming, then put these on. The controls come to you naturally.” He tosses three wing caps to them, and they put them on. Falco seems exhilarated, Fox seems unsure, and Luigi is ‘eeing’ with joy. “I can’t believe I finally get to try this baby out! Sweeeet!” Luigi can barely contain his high-pitched voice from excaping with his emotions. Everyone looks at him with puzzlement. “Eh, he’s always wanted to try this out.” Mario says to the Star Fox crew, who both reply with an “ah.”
Luigi can’t wait to take off. He’s jumping in place. “Come on guys! Let’s go already!” Luigi jumps in a rhythm and takes off, arms outstretched. Mario starts to follow, but then turns over to Fox and Falco. “It’s simple. Just jump low once, jump higher after that, then give it your all on the third jump. If you jumped high enough, then you start to fly immedieately. Watch me.” Mario takes several steps back. Then, he jumps once; not very high, jumps again; a bit higher, then a third high jump. He’s starts to fly then and there. “See? It’s that easy!”
Fox and Falco watch as Mario takes off. They look at each other, then Falco gives it a try. He jumps once, twice, then a third time, with wings outstretched. He flies off with the brothers. Hands of Origin part two


“Hey Fox, he was right! It’s very easy! Just triple-jump!” Soon, Fox and Falco are catching up with Mario and Luigi. Then, it is very obvious that Kirby is already at the Halberd. It has already started firing at a small pink ball flying around its wings. Then the cannon on top of it charges up, and fires out an extremely powerful laser at him. It makes contact with Kirby. He starts to lose control of his wings and starts flying straight towards the Mario bros.! He manages to miss Mario, but Luigi isn’t so lucky. A direct head hit sends them both falling to their doom. However, Falco ends up dive-bombing and rescuing Luigi, and Fox helps out Kirby. After Kirby recovers from the shock of the cannon, he thanks Fox and takes off again toward the gigantic ship. This time, he waits up for the four heroes.
Mario starts up a conversation. “Hey Kirby? Who is this Meta-Knight person anyway?”
Kirby doesn’t look back. He doesn’t even respond.
Mario looks back to the others who merely shrug. They seem confused as well.
“Ok, maybe you have a girlfriend or something?” Mario asked a little later on. But again, silence. The Halberd spots them and begins to shoot out lasers and bullets at them. “Maybe this isn’t the best time” says Mario. They begin to dodge incoming artillery. Eventually, they start using elemental weapons. Chunks of Ice and Flamethrowers are being used on them. They continue to dodge.

“Meta-Knight Sir! We have an incoming report from the weapons deck B-3! It’s Kirby Sir! He’s back!”
We are following a Waddle-Doo as he is running towards a Blue Kirby-looking character. “Good.” He says with a heavy accent. “Excellent. He’s right on time. Prepare the troops on board for battle! We are goin to win this time!” The Waddle-Doo salutes him. “Yes Sir! Right away Sir! I’ll tell the bridge to relay your command!” He takes off through the door behind him. Meta-Knight looks out the window to his left. He sees Kirby and four people behind him. “Hmph. Even with a small cavalry, you cannot defeat me this time Star Warrior! Bring on your full power!” Meta-Knight runs toward the door and all we see as he exits is his glowing yellow eyes and his flowing cloak. He slams the door. We look out the window where Meta-Knight was and we see the five heroes flying straight for the Halberd. We zoom in on them through the bullets and other artillery to join back up with them. Kirby is talking to them. We get within earshot to only hear the end of it. “…and that’s why I am rivals with Meta-Knight. That’s also why he wants to take over Dream-Land.”
Mario and Luigi whistle. Fox and Falco seem in shock. Mario looks to Luigi. “Some story huh?”
“Yeah, who would’ve thought that was how it happened?”
“INCOMING!” Kirby yells. Four of them narrowly dodge an incoming laser blast from the main cannon. The same one that shot Kirby down last time. Luigi wasn’t able to dodge in time however. He was hit dead on!
They finally land on the Halberd. Mario looks back and doesn’t see his brother. He looks around him. “Luigi? Luigi?! LUUUUIIIIIIIIGIIIIIIII!!!” (Yes, a Metal Gear reference. I even went as far as to do that…) Fox and Falco look back and see why Mario yelled his brothers’ name. He is nowhere to be seen. But then…
Falco notices something about Fox’s fur. “Hey Fox? How are you doing that with your fur?”
“Huh?” He looks at Fox. He then looks at his fur. It’s standing on end. “I don’t know. Falco! Your feathers are doing it too!”
Falco looks at himself, and sees that they are too. Mario gasps. He starts to laugh loudly. “What’s so funny Mario?” Falco asks.
Mario is tearing up in the eyes. “It’s Luigi! He’s alive!”
“Fox, what is he talking about?” Fox shakes his head. Then, the sky turns a deep blue. Everything around them turns a deep light blue. An incoming Waddle-Dee gets electrocuted slightly and runs away in fear. Falco and Fox seem puzzled. “Hey Kirby?”
“Yeah Fox?”
“How did you shock him when you’re obviously not having power of electricity at the moment?”
“What do you mean? I didn’t do that.”
Mario walks into the front of the group. “HE didn’t…” he says pointing at Kirby. “…But HE did!” He says looking back from where they came. A wing cap flies up and lands right in front of them. It’s fried and glowing blue. Then, Luigi rises up arms stretched out, head bowing down, body straight, towards them from inderneath the ship. “I’ll be back” he says to the four. Fox, Falco, and Kirby seem in awe. Falco screams “HOW THE HELL?!” Luigi then dives down beneath the Halberd. He uses his hands like cannons and blasts any and everything that moves that’s smaller than 4’5” while zooming around the Halberd. He easily takes out the top wings and the main cannon on the top of the Halberd. He then continues over to the bridge and starts to take out the elite soldiers one=by-one. On his way back however, he shoots one which deflects it with a fire sword. It’s wearing a silver helmet and matches the description that of which Kirby had described. He tries to defeat him with blast after blast, but to no avail. He then returns to the group, who three of, seem very impressed. Mario just seems like he’s happy. The other three see him dramatically coming down slowly to land next to them and quickly gather around him. “I saw him! I even tried to defeat him! Meta-Knight!” The three quickly gasp and Kirby pulls Luigi down to eye-level. “WHERE AT!?” He screams in his face. “Up on the bridge! I took out several elite soldiers-I could tell the were elite by their armor and their size-and then I mistook him for one. We fought with blast after blast from me, but deflected every single blast! I came back here to tell you!”
Kirby lets go of Luigi and turns away from the group. He takes a few steps forward for dramatic effect. “I thought so. I hoped not, but he has gotten stronger. He couldn’t ever deflect even an arrow when I last defeaed his ship. That’s why the ship was so easy to take control of. Thanks to Luigi here that is.” Luigi ‘shucks’ and rubs the back of his head. “It was so easy, because he was focusing on his power, not his ship’s. Apparently, I will need help for this battle.” He turns around to face the group again. “So, will you help me?”
They look at each other, then nod in agreement in unison. “Of course we will!” yells out Mario.
“Very good. Let’s be off then! TO THE BRIDGE!”
“YEAH!” Everyone yells in unison again.

So, they valiantly fight through hordes of foes, each more easy than the last, until they reached the Bridge. That’s where the big boys came out to play. Mario took them out one by one. When it came to the plasma wisps, Fox and Falco take them out with their blasters. The others, Kirby took care of. Luigi just stood back watching. Good thing too, because he would need all of his strength for the final battle. Later, up on the bridge before the five arrive…
“Soon. Very soon, I will finally defeat Kirby the Star Warri-“
“MISTER META-KNIGHT SIR!” yells a Waddle-Dee who just came in.
“HOLY SHI-! JEFF! Be careful! Don’t startle me like that! I just about pulled my sword on you! Be more careful!”
“Sorry Sir! But, it’s the troops Sir. Thanks to the ‘Green Thunder’-that’s what the troops are calling him-most of the troops from main weapon deck 3 and after are defeated! We cannot hole them back much longer!”
“No matter. Bring them to me. I will-“
A loud BOOM fills the entire bridge.
Meta-Knight calmly looks over to Jeff, and asks, “What was that?”
Jeff is very terrified now. “It was the reactor I’m afraid Sir!”
“Yes, and wasn’t it YOUR job to guard it?”
Jeff starts to shake. “Y-y-yes S-sir, it w-w-was…”
“And didn’t it just” he turns and explodes in anger and volume “EXPLODE!?”
Jeff yelps and turns for the door. He keeps running until he touches the door handle. His wheezing of fear stops. It’s completely silent. His hand drops suddenly from the door. We see his face of fear and pain as he slowly stoops downward. His knees hit the floor first, then his body, then his head. Then we see Meta-Knights sword in Jeff’s head! Meta-Knight walks over to the now bloody pool of a Waddle-Dee. “Stupid little thing.” He says while he pulls his sword out. “Good thing they’re replaceable!” he laughs maniacally while cleaning his sword.

Back with Kirby and the others, we watch as Kirby leads the group. He stops suddenly and shudders. Mario stops and asks what was wrong. Kirby has a look of fear on his face. “I just felt a tremor in the Force. Meta-Knight has just killed an innocent.”
Mario and the others gasp and listen to the maniacall laughter coming from the bridge. “We have to hurry then. After destroying that reactor, we don’t have much time before-“
“WARNING! WARNING! REACTOR DESTROYED! SWITCHING OVER TO BACKUP REACTOR IN 3…2…1...”
“Kirby…what backup?”
Kirby has a look of aggravation. “DAMN! He had a backup this whole time! He didn’t have one last time! We have more time now. We have no need to rush-“
“WARNING! BACKUP REACTOR SET TO SELF-DESTRUCT IN T-MINUS 5 MINUTES. WARNING! BACKUP REACTOR ST TO SELF-DESTRUC IN T-MINUS 4 MINUTES 45 SECONDS. WARNING!”
Kirby shoots a feather into the loudspeaker destroying it. “THAT was getting annoying…let’s get going shall we?”
The five start sprinting to the bridge. It takes them 30 seconds to arrive. There is a loudspeaker in the bridge as well. They slam open the door, and all dramatic, Kirby yells “Meta-Knight! I have come to destroy you once and for all!”
Silence. Then a voice is heard from the darkness. “ARM YOURSELF STAR WARRIOR!”
A sword knight appears with a sneak attack! Kirby sucks it up after dumping his wing ability, and becomes Sword Kirby.
“Meta-Knight! Come out of the darkness and face your destiny!”
Meta-Knight appears in front of them from the shadows. “Why don’t you join me Kirby? We could rule over all of Dream-Land together! Just you and me! And when you join, our first order will be to annihilate those intruders behind you.”
Kirby looks behind him at his four friends, then back to Meta-Knight. “Never” he whispers, looking at his feet…
“What was that? I didn’t quite hear you. Meta-Knight says with tension.
“I said…” Kirby looks up to Meta-Knight “NEVER!” he yells it this time.
“What?! Why not! Can’t you see this is pure madness?”
Luigi pokes at Mario. “Hey, Mario, I betch he’s gonna say that Sparta thing…”
“No way. I don’t see him doing that.”
“Madness you say?”
“YES! THIS IS MADNESS!”
Kirby readies his sword.
“He’s gonna say it…” Luigi says sing-songy.
“I betcha 5 cions he won’t.”
“You’re on!”
“No. This is not madness you metal fool…”
“Then what is it Kirby? Tell me that! If not madness, then WHAT?!”
“This…Is…SPAARRTAAA!!!” He lunges in towards Meta-Knight sword ablazing with light reflecting of of it. The two start dueling most epically. Then they match swords together dramatically. “So, you will not join me? You are most skiiled at the sword.” “Never I said, and never I meant!” They continue to spar, while in the background, we can see Mario giving Luigi a big blue coin. Then, it happens. The unthinkable. Kirby is defeated. It doesn’t matter how, it’s your imagination-not mine…
Kirby is pushed back and drops his sword. He slide all the way back to the group. “M…Mario…give me…”
“Give you what?”
Kirby starts to whisper now. “Your…brother…make him fight Meta-Knight…he can do it. I know he-cough-can…” Kirby slips out of consciousness.

[Shadow Doll]

Luigi looks at Mario and whispers “Why do you think he wanted me to fight him?”
Mario looks back at his brother and says “Maybe it’s because of you electrical abilities. Use them on Meta-Knight. I’ve got it! Meta-Knight is wearing all metal! That conducts electricity! You shock him and I burn him! The perfect combination! Let’s do this!”
Luigi nods. No way was he gonna argue to something like that!
Luigi runs in charging up his palms to maximum, while Mario stays back and charges up a fireball. Luigi starts to attack with jabs and punches. He even uses a Green Missile on him! It missed and Luigi went straight into a wall. Ouch. But He managed to get a couple of jabs in. After Luigi was tiring out, he got hit by Meta-Knight. Hard. He went flying back into Mario. At this time, the fireball was fully charged. He unleashes it and Meta-Knight tries to dodge. Buts it still grazes him on the side. It did a lot of damage. Now his cloak is almost completely burned off and his helmet is starting to crack. He is beginning to feel fatique. Fox and Falco step up. “Let us take care of him now. You two deserve a good rest after that performance. Allow us to do the finishing blow.” Both of them grab hands, charge up their fire moves, the Fire Fox and the Fire Bird, and unleash them together. The Fire Predator is unleashed. It fills up the entire room and blasts straight for Meta-Knight. “Oh crap.” It hits him and sends him flying out the window. He lands unharmed into the nearby ocean. Kirby is starting to come to.
“Ugh…what happened?”
“WARNING! EXPLOSION IMMINENT IN T-MINUS 30 SECONDS!”
“OH CRAP!”
Kirby then notices a shard of glass next to him. He inhales it, and he becomes Mirror Kirby. “Everyone get behind me! Now!” The do as they are told, and just as Kirby uses his mirror force, the reactor explodes. Kirby’s mirror force was used to push back the flames and debris flying towards them. He manages to hold it back until the floor gives way. They startfalling down through a darkened abyss where they can’t even see the bottom. And then a bright blue light flashed and then…
-THUD-

“Ow…my aching-Luigi, where are we?”
We hear Mario’s voice in the darkness. Luigi doesn’t respond. However some rustling is heard to Mario’s left.
“Reveal yourself! Who are you?”
“Calm yourself Mario, it’s just me.”
“Wait…Falco, is that you?”
“Bingo. Any idea where we’re at?”
“No. Where’s Fox?”
“I don’t really know. We were falling and he hit his head. I help to save him from the other falling boulders and I ended up holding him until we hit the borrom. I helped to shield his fall with my own body. I broke my back in the process. Meaning, I can’t move anymore. When I cam to, Fox was gone and I was here alone. But apparently not near as alone as what I thought. Not if you’re here. Any sign of Luigi?”
“No. I het my head on the way down, I think. I don’t remember anything after the floor gave in. So I gon’t know where anyone else is. What about Kirby? You were next to him when it gave, any clue where he is?”
“Yeah, he went off a little bit ago. I couldn’t see him, but I heard him. He was talking to me telling me to stay put and that he would go get help. But that’s all I know.”
“Well this sucks. What a predicament to get ourselves in.”
“Speak for yourself! I’m usually in stuff like this thanks to Fox.”
A different voice cuts through the darkness. “What was that?”
Mario recognizes the sound of that certain accent. “Hey Fox! A little bit of help would be nice you know…”
“SHUSH! We’re not alone.”
Surely enough, some scratchin like sounds could be heard from behind Fox and to their sides. One runs in front of Mario close enough for him to see. It was white, skull-shaped body-eye-dockets and everything. And it had yellow and black striped legs. It resembled a spider. Then, some sounds of struggling could be heard from Fox’s direction. He was fighting off the things. They attacked him in numbers, but his deflector was very helpful for this. They simply bounced off. But they were really hard to beat. Their backs were almost indestructible. Mario’s eyes adjust to the darkness. As Fox fights the spiders off, Mario notices that they are in a temple like area. They are surrounded by marble colored columns. And then he notices a flash of golden light. It’s coming from the ceiling from a logo. It’s three triangles making a single triangle, like a pyramid of smaller pyramids. He also notices that the map was there next to him glowing a very faint blue. They must have teleported again. But where to this time? Mario still couldn’t really tell. It was still too dark. He tried to use a fireball, but that’s when he realized he was tied up. “Falco, are you tied up too?”
Falco struggles. “Yeah.”
“Any idea what happened while falling? Any blue lights or anything like that?”
Falco remains silent for a few moments. “Actually…I thin I remember a bright blue flash. But that’s about it. Why?”
“I think we might have teleported again. We are no longer in Kirby’s world. I think we’re in another world. Apparently, one of temples and skull-covered spiders.”
Fox is still fighting them off. But they proved to be too much for him.He got knocked down, and before he could do anything, he got tied up with their silk. He tried to break free, but the stringy substance wouldn’t snap. It was trying to cut rope with your fingernails. Soon, he was thrown between Mario and Falco. Fox grunts with pain. “Damn! Those things were too numerous.”
Mario turns to Fox. “Any ideas what they could be?”
“Well, I have one-“
A high-pitched shrill scream pierces through the dark. Some red flames are glowing through the dark. The spiders are being killed off, one-by-one. The three just watch in amazement. Then, a silhouette of a tall person is in front of them. A gleaming silver sword is pointing right at Mario’s head. It has a blue colored hilt.
“Who are you and why are you here?” the person says loudly.
Mario gulps. “We are here t-to save the omniverse. You know, all universes and dimensions. You see, I am from-“
“I didn’t ask where you were from. I asked who you are and why you are here. Now answer my questions!”
Mario gulps again. “Well, I’m Mario Mario. These here are Falco fomething and Fox something. I don’t know their last names.”
“The names Fox McCloud. This here is my campanion Falco Lombardi. We’re from Andross. He’s from the Mushroom Kingdom.”
The person sits down, places the sword back in it’s sheath, and starts to play a tune. It resembles a calming melody that reminds Mario of water.
“That’s a nice song. Where’d you learn that?”
The person stands up, and plays a different song. A short one. Suddenly, the Sun’s light shines on them and even blinds Mario and the others for a few seconds. Once their eyes re-adjust, Mario sees the person clearly. It’s an elven like creature, taller than Bowser, wearing all green clothing. A tunic with a brown belt and a green hood. He also sees a red mirror-like shield in his left hand. The person sits down again in front of the three.
“So. You are Mario, Fax, and Falco. A pink ball went by me earlier asking if I could help him with his wounded friends by the same names. I told him to go to the Kakariko Village’s graveyard and pull out the closest tombstone with flowers. Once he found it, he should bring back a pink fairy from inside the grave. He nodded, I think, and took off. He came back and asked where that was, I pointed him toward the volcano. He took off in a flurry of speed after that. I was on my way here to see how things were with you guys, when I noticed the infestation of Skulltula’s. I must say, Fox, you fight quite well for one who has no sword.”
Fox chuckles slightly. “Why thank you. And what is your name again?”
The creature gets up and says “Oh sorry. I must apalogize. I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Link. My friends call me the ‘Hero of Time’ and other names. But you can just call me Link.”
Mario tries to get up, but falls immideately. He forgot he was tied. “You don’t think you could help us get out of these…”
Link takes out a boomerang and tosses it to his right. Nowhere near the three. Falco starts to get angry. “Nice shot man! You tossed it nowhere near us!”
Link just counts down from 5 with his fingers. Once it hits zero, the boomerang slices through their bindings with a single pass. He thin dives and catches it and stands back up. He puts it away and asks “are you guys ok?”
Falco stands up, brushing the dirt off his vest, and answers “Yeah. Nice shot man. Seriously.”
Mario stands up and looks around. He notices that they are actually outside. That’s how the boomerang flew so far and didn’t crash. “What land is this anyway Link?”
Link walks over to them and opens up a map. “This is the Land of Hyrule. A world of people like me, Hylians, live. That would be here in the center and here at the castle.” With each ‘here’ he points to that location. “There are also the Gerudo, a race of only women, and one man every 100 years. They leve here in the desert. Then there are the Zora’s, a race of mer-people who live here in the Zora’s Domain. They prefer the water to land. Then, last but not least, the Gorons. They are a race of people that live in mountains who eat only rocks. They harvest plants known as ‘bomb flowers’ which people may pick up and throw to use as bombs. Hence their name. And finally, the Royal Family. They live here at the castle. Which is where you are now. You are on it’s grounds I mean.”
Mario Fox, and Falco, seem a little puzzled. “So, basically, our friends could be anywhere around here then.”
Link nods. “Yeah, that’s right.”
Falco storms off into a pace. “OH GREAT! Not only do we get abducted by spiders-“
“Skulltulas” Link corrects him.
“WHATEVER! That, then a pretty boy saves us, now we have to go on an adventure just to find our friends, just so we can continue our current adventure! Go figure!”
Link leans down to Mario’s ear-level. He whispers “Is he always like this?”
Mario nods and says “Yeah. Pretty much.”
Falco continues to pace the floor, grumbling to himself. Then, a few moments later, Luigi walks in.
“Hey has anyone seen a fat guy in a plumber’s outfit around here? Mario? Is that you?”
Mario walks up to him. “Depends. Have you seen a stubborn little skinny guy in green dressed like a plumber anywhere around here?! Yes it’s me you knuckle head!”
And cue brotherly love hug here.
Fox approaches and breaks them up. “Now, if you two are done, we got to get going to find Kirby.”
“Actually…” Luigi starts. Everyone starts to look at him. “I saw him on my way here. I ended up in a field of some sort. Next thing I knew, I was fighting off these ghosts! Thanks a lot for leaving me back there guys! Thanks a lot!”
Mario slaps him across the face. “Back to the Kirby part please!”
“Oh right. He was heading here while I was. I figured he would’ve gotten here before me. I didn’t see him on the way here after we met up in the field.”
“This isn’t good.” Everyone turns to face Link. “If that is true, then he must’ve gotten-“
Kirby comes running in. “Thanks a lot for ditching me back there Luigi! I said as you were running off ‘wait up I’m coming with you’ but NO! You just had to go on ahead!”
Link coughs. “Uh, never mind.”
Kirby approaches the group. He has with him four bottles of fairies. “One for each of you. I can keep on going!”
He released the fairies from the bottles, and they circle around the four wounded friends of his. Some beeping was heard, but it stopped pretty soon. They were fully healed!
“Thanks a lot Kirby!” Mario says, shaking his hand with Kirby’s. “I feel a lot better now!”
“Wait. Mario, why are we even here? Did we defeat Meta-Knight?”
Mario’s happiness quickly turns to fear. “I don’t know. I think we did…Fox. Falco. Didn’t you guys defeat him?”
They shrug. “I thought we did…” Falco says. “We did, didn’t we?”
Kirby pipes in. “No! He got tossed out the window and landed safely in the ocean! He survived! We need to get back there right away!”
Link joins in. “Wait. Was it a bit of time ago? If so, I could just play the song of time and send you back there in one piece and all memories. That is, if you would like that.”
Mario, Luigi, Fox, and Falco, all scream yes. Kirby screams yeah.
Link pulls out that ocarina that he used earlier to play those songs, and he starts to play a calm soothing melody. Mario opens up the map, and the middle of it begins to glow a deep yet bright blue. Link continues playing. The portal turns a greenish color, and sucks in the five heroes. They fall through a swirling green abyss or portal, and next thing they know, they land right next to the ocean on the beach. Kirby gets up and looks around. “This is Dream-Land! We’re back! Thanks to Link, we did it!” Kirby starts dancing. Mario and the others start staring at him like he was crazy. Then Mario notices something over the horizon behind Kirby. “Uh, Kirby? Isn’t that the Halberd?” Kirby turns around and sees it too. Surely enough, the Halberd was still airborne. Kirby curses at the sight of this.
“But hos is that possible?! Meta-Knight you fool! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!”
Luigi pokes Mario. “He really likes movies doesn’t he?”
-smack-
“Ow! What was that for?”
“We just got here and you can only think of what Kirby watches in his spare time?”
Luigi shrinks to this, and backs off. Then, Falco notices something else. “Isn’t that us flying off to the Halberd?”
Fox says he must just be seeing things. But Falco points out five small specks flying at high speed toward the Halberd. Kirby looks, and sees that it is them! The were sent back and into the past! “But how is that even possible?”
Mario remembers the song. “Didn’t that Link fellow call that melody the “song of time” or something? Maybe that’s how we went back in time.”
Falco looks over to Mario. “Yeah, that would make some sense. But if that’s true, then the cannon should fire at us soon so-“
A shockwave interrupts Falco. The main cannon just fired and hit Luigi in the sky. Luigi fell down and started flying back toward the Halberd while cloaked in blue. He looked like a Super Saiyan but with blue instead of yellow. “Wow. Go Luigi!” yelled Falco who thought he only thought it. Everyone looks at him. “What?” Fox pats him on the shoulder. “You said that out loud.” “Does it really even matter at this point?” Then, the Halberd wxploded. The reactor just went off. “Soon the backup shoud explode. In about 4 minutes and 35 seconds or so.” Said Kirby, after looking at the explosion. About five minutes of boredom later, -BOOOOM- the second reactor self-destructed. Meta-Knight was seen flying off through the window and land right in front of them.
“I can’t believe I got away. I got away. I got away! Wooo-yeeahh! I made-“ He turned around while celebrating. He sees the group watching him with the angry eyes. “Uh…hi Kirby. Wassup?” Kirby pulls him up ot of the water and at eye-level. In other words, about knee high to Link. “You. Get. Out of. Dream-Land. NOW!” Kirby yelled at him. Meta-Knight merely chuckles. “You still don’t get it do you? I won. You can’t do a dang thing to me. I won. I won! You lost! Hahahahaha!” He laughs maniacally again. Kirby releases Meta-Knight and inhales a bugzzy that was sleeping nearby. He copies it’s ability and became Suplex Kirby. He grabs Meta-Knight, and throws him up and jumps after him. He then makes a double-fist and slams him back down to the ground, making his mask fall off and making a crater in the exact shape of Meta-Knight. His mask came falling down and landed next to the crater. Meta-Knight gets up rubbing his head. Everyone sees his face. They all start to giggle, which turns into laughter, which turns into rolling around on the floor. Meta-Knight’s puzzled. “What?” He then notices the mask next to him. He gasps and quickly puts it back on. “If you tell anyone, I will-“
Kirby stops laughing long enough to say “If you leave, then we won’t tell anyone!” Then returns to laughing his lungs out. Meta-Knight slowly gets up, turns around, and leaves. A few long moments filled of laughter later, Kirby is thanking the heroes for helping him to defeat Meta-Knight. And for unmasking the evil. Literally. They say their goodbyes, and Mario opens up the map. It glows a deep blue and opens a portal that sucks the four in. Kirby decided to stay behind to guard Dream-Land. After all, somebody had to do it.


End of Dream-Land chapter

[Shadow Doll]

The four are fallin throght the sky again, but this time they all land perfectly fine on their feet. All except Luigi who divebombs right into the ground. Again. Mario shakes his head in disbelief, and he takes a look around. They are in an arena-like structure. Then…
“TRAINERS! CHOOSE YOUR POKEMON!”
Mario says for Luigi to go in and he goes out to the center of the arena. Lights flood the place, and they finally see the arena. It’s green with a ball in the middle. The ball’s bottom is white and the top is red. The lines in the center stretched out to the arena’s edge. Then, a ball resembling that of the one on the floor of the arena, bounces on the floor opposite of their end. It opens up to reveal a pink ball like thing that resembled a female Kirby, only more white. It also had ears that resembled that of maybe a cat’s. It had huge eyes.
“LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!”
The ball starts to spin and takes off and hits Luigi head on! Luigi went flying back and almost fell off the arena! He managed to grab the edge, and pull himself back up onto the arena. He charged in on the puff ball and used a Green Missile on it. It went flying way off into the distance.
“JIGGLYPUFF IS DEFEATED! WINNER IS RED TEAM! NEXT OPPONENT, SEND OUT YOUR POKEMON!”
“Bring it on! I can take more!”
This time, the pokeball was blue on top and revealed a humanoid pokemon. It had dog-like ears and paws, but stood up like a human. It also had single spikes on it’s hand and created blue orbs with them. It threw one of these orbs at Luigi which he dodged. But it came back and hit him in the back. He laid face-down on the floor, but still got up.He looked around, but didn’t see the pokemon anywhere. “Where’d it go? I don’t see it…” Then, the ground underneath Luigi started heaving, and then exploded with the pokemon coming up from the ground! It dug underneath him! Luigi went flying back and hit Mario. “I don’t think I can take another one of those…” Mario puts Luigi with Fox and goes in the fight himself. He goes in, and then “SUBSTITUTION! LUIGI FOR MARIO! LUCARIO IS STAYING IN! LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE!”
Mario charged in and punched. Lucario dodged and dug underground again. “Oh no you don’t. I’m not falling for that!” Mario uses a fireball and throws it down the hole. It made contace with Lucario, burned it badly, and it launched out of the hole. It landed next to the hole, and started heavily breathing. Then without warning, it collapses. “WINNER IS RED TEAM AGAIN! FINAL POKEMON! THE CHAMPION, THE DUPICATION, THE GENETICAL EXPERIMENT GONE WRONG…” A purple ball is sent out and opens. It reveals another humanoid creature but purple this time. It has a long tail. It resembles a humanoid cat. “…MEWTWO!” Falco see this thing, and tells Mario to get out. This is his fight. They switch out, and the battle starts. Mewtwo was the first to respond with an attack. He throws a purple orb towards Falco, who uses his deflector. The orb hits it and bounces off back towards Mewtwo. It’s a critical hit! Mewtwo flies off and flies off of the arena. But, somehow, it floats back up to the arena! “How the hell?!” Falco seems to be in shock and disbelief. Mewtwo smiles at Falco. It says, without it’s mouth even moving, “You thought you could defeat me that easily? Heh. You’re gonna be a waste of my time!”
“Quit taunting me you overgrown furless furry!”
Mewtwo’s expression of codkiness changes rapidly to anger. “You’re calling me the furry? Have you looked in the mirror lately!?”
Falco growls in anger at Mewtwo. They stare off each other for a few moments. Everything is silent. Then, without warning, Falco pulls out his blaster and lets loose with a flurry of laser blasts. Mewtwo stays still, deflecting them with his hands, still smiling evily.
“How is that even possible? How could you deflect all of them-“
“That fast?” Mewtwo finishes for him. Falco seems at a loss for words.
“What’s wrong Falco? Shocked? Dumbstruck? Cat got your toungue?”
Falco gulps and charges in towards Mewtwo. He uses his Fire Bird and hits Mewtwo directly. He doesn’t reflect it, block it, or anything. “How did you know my name?”
Mewtwo pushes back with a orange, yellow, and red glowing fist. “I’m a physic fool! I can read minds, talk without talking, even invade minds!” Mewtwo shoves Falco back farther. He’s not even touching him. “That also means…” he pushes Falco back even farther. “…I can win with my eyes closed!” He shuts his eyes and raises his hands in front of him. His eyes begin to glow blue. Although his eyes are shut, the entire eye, both of them, glow a bright blue. He opens his hand. Falco becomes outlined with a blue light, and Mewtwo closes his hand. Then, Falco winces in pain. Mewtwo follow up with a toss of his hand to the left, and open his hand at the end of the toss. This gesture makes Falco fly in that direction against his will. He crashes to the floor in blood and bruises. Fox runs over to his fallen compadre. “Falco are you alright?”
Falco wipes his beak and gets blood on his wing/hand. He spits out blood. He looks over to Mewtwo. “He’s gonna pay for that.” He slowly gets up and starts to walk over to Mewtwo. Mewtwo seems a little shocked. “You’re STILL alive after that? I guess I underestimated you. No matter.” Mewtwo closes his eyes again. He raises his hand like last time, but this time it’s both of his hands. “ I will finish you off here and now.” His eyes start to glow bright blue again. Falco starts to glow again but this time even more. Mewtwo does the same arm gesture with both arms and it causes Falco to be thrown off into the opposite direction. He lands face down and doesn’t move. Fox gets up from where Falco was, turns to Mewtwo, and glares at him. Their eyes lock and Mewtwo doesn’t move. Fox slowly moves toward him, keeping the eye contact, ans Mewtwo still doesn’t move. Fox’s glare grows more intense, and Mewtwo’s facial expression changes to fear! He’s scared of Fox! Fox is now about 1’ away from Mewtwo. “You could have killed him.” He growls. Mewtwo remains motionless. He seems to be paralyzed. “And so what if I did? What are you gonna do about it little doggy?” Fox grabs Mewtwo by the arms, tosses him up into the air, and drop kicks him right into a nearby wall. Mewtwo’s eyes flicker slightly, and hthen close with an exhale of breath.
“WINNER IS RED TEAM! BLUE TEAM HAS NO REMAINING POKEMON! RED TEAM WINS THE CUP!”
The lights turn on, all of them, and the four realize that they are in a stadium surrounded by people. The four look puzzled. Mario looks to the rest of the group. “That was a little too easy, don’t you think?”
“CHALLENGER APPROACHING! RED TEAM PREPARE YOURSELF!”
Mario yells as the ground begins to shake “I knew it! It was too easy!”
Then, as the ground begins to shake more violently, a flash of green is visible in the sky as it rockets past them “What the hell was that?!” yells Luigi as it rockets past them again. It lands in front of them elegantly, and they finally get a good look at it before it takes off again. It’s all green, covered with snaking yellow markings, serpant like, and roars as loud as an Arwing’s engine when put up to a loudspeaker. It takes off and swirls around them, creating a small twister, and lunges downward towards them like a falcon! They jump out of the way just as it attacks, barely missing them all by inches! It lands next to them, rain on it’s left and bright sunlight on it’s right. It seems to have control over the weather. “CHALLENGER ARRIVES! RAYQUAZA! RED TEAM, ARE YOU READY?” They nod. “THEN READY…”
They prepare for the worst.
“FIGHT!”
Rayquaza flies in toward them, grabs Mario in one hand, swoops back while snaking around in the sky dodging fireballs and blasts from their blasters, it grabs Luigi and knocks the brothers unconscious by head slamming them together. Fox and Falco are alone in this fight now. Rayquaza swoops in again using a huge beam from it’s mouth which resembles a golden fire right towards the two of them. Fox is quick enough to dodge, but Falco isn’t so lucky. It’s hits him dead on. He falls unconscious. Fox looks back for his partner, and notices how badly hurt he was. That’s what makes him snap. He charges in screaming ‘die demon die’ at the green dragon, and starts to jump up for it. The green thing dodges, but Fox uses his Fox Phantasm to connect with it. He grabs a hold of it by it’s tail and starts climbing. Rayquaza tries to shake him off, but does not succeed. Fox continues to climb, totally pissed off, and makes it to it’s arms. He shoots them with his blaster, injuring it, and uses a Fire Fox move to move up faster. On the way, he burns it’s skin, causing it to roar in pain. He uses his high speed to his advantage to become more agile than it. He makes it to it’s head, he kicks it hard in the eye, and jumps off to evade it’s claws and teeth. It unleashes an extremely powerful beam like before, but it creates shockwaves while it powers up! Fox notices it’s extreme power, and smiles to himself. Rayquaza unleashes this hyper beam of it’s, and it hits Fox directly! But, it just bounces off and hits Rayquaza in the face! Fox lands perfectly fine and untouched before the giant beast. It roars in pain, starts to wriggle, and then falls to the ground. It’s eyes close slowly, it roars softly, and then it’s eyes close completely.
“AMAZING!!! RED TEAM WINS! AS A REWARD, YOU WILL BE FULLY HEALED!”
The team starts to glow a redish color, and the fallen ones rise up. They were ok! They were fine. Falco walks over to Fox, pats him on the back, and says “How did you do it? How did you beat that thing?” Fox chuckles, and he starts to wave to the crowds. They start to cheer even louder. Soon, everyone is waving to the screaming crowd. Then the lights black out and the cheering stops.
Fox perks his ears, trying to hear if they are being surrounded or anything. Falco whispers closely to Fox “do you hear anything?” Fox continues listening. Then, suddenly, the lights flash back on. Nothing is around them. Not even the crowd. It’s completely silent. Mario pulls out the map. It starts to glow again, and they get sucked in. But before the portal closes, a figure resembling a human jumps in with them. Then it closes. We join the party as they are being pulled into their next destination. Fox turns over to Mario. “Where do you think we’re going now?” Mario shrugs. While doing so, Luigi looks behind him. He sees the figure just as they are thrown into their next world.

Once again, they fall plummeting to the ground. This time, they all actually land without any injuries. Fox lands last, and when he hits the ground, he hears a muffled “ouch”. He looks down, and takes a few steps back. He sees a brown mushroom flattened where he landed. He goes to touch it, and it screams “GET AWAY FROM ME YOU PHSYCO!!!” Obviously, this surprises Fox. He jumps back and prepares to shoot the thing. Mario rushes up to him and pushes up his arm just as he fires. “No! Don’t shoot it!” Fox looks down at Mario. “Are you crazy? I just heard that mushroom talk to me! Of course I’m going to shoot it!” He prepares to fire again, and Mario shoves his arm upward again, making him miss. “What are you doing?! I got to kill this thing!” Mario grabs his arm and says “These aren’t the things we have to defeat!” “How would you know?” Fox yells at him. “Because I live in this world! This, my friends, is the Mushroom Kingdom!”

Falco approaches Luigi. “Is this true?” Luigi simply nods his head. “Yeah, this is our home land! The Mushroom Kingdom!” Fox looks back to him. “What about Sarasaland? Didn’t you say that it was in another dimension?” Luigi shakes his head violently. “No! I said it was like it was in a different dimension. It’s in this one, but very far away. You can only get there by a long time of traveling, or by using the blue pipes scattered around the kingdoms.”
Fox and Falco seem confused. “Blue pipes? What are you talking about?” Mario approaches and interrupts Luigi before he can even respond. “That’s something for another time! We have to find out what we have to do here first!”
After a few several minutes of arguing, we see as Mario starts pacing. In the background are several trees. In one of them, we can barely tell that someone is in one of them watching the group argue. It chuckles to its self. “I wonder if those Smash brothers will ever get going! At this rate, they will never-“
In the background, the person hears Luigi yell “Hey! What’s that in the tree?” The person quickly takes cover and watches the quartet look around for what Luigi supposedly saw. “Luigi, I don’t see anything. Are you sure you didn’t just imagine it?” “Yeah I’m sure! I saw something in that tree right there!” He points over to the tree the person is hiding in. “Oh crap…” It says to its self. “Luigi, I still don’t see anything.” “Then go look for yourself!” Mario starts to approach the tree, and the person jumps down and books it! He looks back while floating away at top speed, and notices Mario and the rest following him. “I got to get out of here!” it whispers to its self. Then, a red fireball hits him on the shoulder. He falls and tries to tget back up. But is pushed back down by the weight of Mario’s body. He is holding him down and it’s pinned. “See? See? I told you I saw something!” Luigi yells. “Yes, you were right Luigi. Jeez! Stop rubbing it in!” Luigi open to respond, but the person grunts and tries to escape. Mario holds him down harder. “You’re not going anywhere until you tell us who you are and why you’re here!”
Fox walks up to it. “Wait a minute…Didn’t we fight you back in that arena?”
The person pushes Mario off, and tries to book it. Falco gets in it’s way. Luigi and Mario both grab it and hld it to the ground. Fox repeats his question. Finally, the person stops struggling and says “Yes you did fight me back there. The place was the Pokemon Stadium. My name is-“ Fox interrupts. “Mewtwo I presume?”
Mewtwo nods his head. “Yes. That’s it.” Mario and Luigi loosen their grip slightly. “I followed you here to try and stop you, but then I noticed that Rayquaza was defeated, I decided to join up. Honestly!” Mewtwo holds up his right hand to make a “I swear” sign. Fox tells the bros. to let him go, and they do. Then, without warning, something hits Falco in the back of the head. It explodes causing him to fly forwards and crash into Fox. The brothers run over to help them out, and then more explosions. They are coming from everywhere! Mewtwo just stands there creating a force-field, protecting him from harm. Fox gets hit again in the shoulder. “What the hell are these things?” Mario punches one out of the air. It’s black, has angry eyes, and two fists. “They are called ‘Bullet Bills’” he tells the group. “They are minions of King Bowser. He mustt know that we’re here. He must have taken something, otherwise he wouldn’t be attacking like this.” Another wave comes out of the clouds and hits Mario. He goes flying into a tree nearby. He dropped the map when he got hit. Mewtwo picks it up, and reads the inscription on it. “So! That’s how you got here! I could use this to my advantage!” He lifts the map up and reads an inscription on the bottom of the map. It’s in a different language. Fox and Falco continuesly use their deflectors on the Bullet Bills, and they try to stop Mewtwo. But by the time they get to him, it’s too late. He is sucked into a blue portal and disappears, along with the map! Mario wakes up and finishes off the rest of the Bullet Bills Tekken style. He runs in front of the party and starts attacking the Bills. Once they start to attack his group, he taunts them. Mooning them, making faces, the works. They turn a red color, and turn and head straight for Mario, who turns and runs. Then, more Bills appear from that direction. He’s surrounded! He finds a nearby Fire-Flower and picks it up. Just as he uses it, all the Bills hit him! They don’t explode though, they just keep on ramming him. Then, when they all ram him at the same time for a powerful combo, it makes Mario yell in pain. The Bills scatter and we see that Mario in his Fire Form is laying on the ground, eyes closed. They turn to the party and charge. Then, an explosion ten times as big as the Bills hits the Bill in the rear, which explodes. The others turn and notice a Fire Mario standing there, hands blazing with flames. They all charge in and Mario just stands there, yawning. Once the Bills get within 5’ of him, he shoots out a single fireball which engulfs the envire squad of Bills! The fireball creates a twister of flames and detonates all the Bills! Once the Bills explode and the twister disapparates, the sky clears out and Mario is still in his Fire Form. He asks what happened to Mewtwo, and Fox explains what happened while he was out. Mario simply screams in anger and shoots a fireball towards a nearby goomba who burns to a crisp. Then it completely turns to ash and dust. Fox asks why was that a problem. “Because. That map was the only way we went to place to place. With it gone, we have no way of getting to the next areas!” He yells again, throwing another fireball. This time at a koopa who hides in it’s shell. The fireball bounces off of it, leaving the koopa unharmed. The Koopa peeks out of it’s shell, and “whoopies” with joy. Mario hits it with another fireball, burning it’s tail. It turns tail and runs, tail blazing hot. Luigi approaches the severely pissed off Mario, and tries to calm him. “Brother, there may be another way…” Mario turns to him. “What are you talking about?” Luigi point up to a nearby cliff. “Isn’t that Shooting Star Summit?” Mario realizes what Luigi is getting at. The Star Spirits. Maybe they could help. “Good idea Luigi! We could ask the Star Spirits for help!” Fox starts to ask, but Mario shuts him up. “There’s not any time Fox! We have to hurry now!” Mario takes off towards the mountainous cliff, and Luigi follows closely behind. Fox and Falco shrug to each other, and take off to catch up.

Later, at the summit…

“Are you sure he is coming here now?” Says a deep low voice to a serious looking Mewtwo. “Yes I’m sure. In fact,” he pulls out a watch and checks the time “they should be here in about 5 minutes.” The deep voice booms out “Then I need to prepare for him! Thanks a lot Mewtwo!” Mewtwo nods and pulls out the map. He teleports again. “You cat-like freak” the booming voice mumbles. It’s shadow turns to s nearby koopa with wings. “You! Take your squad and take out Mario! Or at least just slow him down some. We need to prepare.” The koopa salutes, gathers up some troops, and heads out down the path toward the party. “Soon, the Star Rod will be mine once more!” The shadow starts up the path towards the top of the summit laughing. We see a giant turtle with spikes on it’s shell and fiery red hair in it’s position.

Meanwhile, back with Mario…

“How much farther is it Mario?” asks an exhausted Falco. “Not much farther now. You see that glow up there? That’s our destination.” Mario points to a glowing ray of light on top of the cliff. Falco looks up and sighs. Fox walks up to Falco. “Don’t worry Falco. I’ll help you out if you collapse or anything!” He smiles. Falco looks up to him. “Yeah, thanks bud.” Falco sighs again. It is very obvious that he’s tired. Mario continues on up ahead, and he stops the group. “Wait a minute. A group of koopas and goombas are coming. Quickly, hide behind something!” They all break up and Falco, still tired, just collapses by the side of the path. The squad rushes on by, and stops when they see Falco. One of the goombas go over and poke it with one of it’s fangs. “Dudes, I think it’s dead!” They all make faces, and quickly disperse further down the path. The party members come out, and go over to Falco. Fox picks him up, and take off behind the Mario Brothers and continue up the path.
Later, when Falco wakes up, he notices that he’s in a different area compared to what he remembers before passing out. “Where am I?”
Fox walks up to him. “You passed out. I carried you the rest of the way up the cliff. We’ve been wainting for you to wake up so we can continue.” Falco looks around, and notices that, surely enough, they are at the top of the Summit. Mario is walking back and forth next to Luigi whoo is inspecting a beam of light coming down from the sky in the middle of the Summit. He notices that he woke up, and tells Mario. Mario, wtill in his Fire Form, walks over. “You alright Falco?” “Yeah, I’m fine. When do we head out?” Mario seems taken aback. “You want to continue already? You just now woke up!” Falco stands. “Yeah, so what?” Mario starts to argue, but just shakes his head. “Never mind. Let’s go.”
Mario steps inside the beam, and floats upward, spinning. Luigi walks in next, followed by Fox, then Falco. They all spin up the path to another path. This one seems to be made up of stars and sky. Mario continues onward, and the others follow. They dodge some oncoming blue bubbles, and soon enough, they arrive in Star Haven. They head over to the Toad House for some rest. Mario opens the door and is welcomed by a toad who says “Welcome to the Toad House! Our motto is…wait…Mario? Is that you Mario?” Mario nods and invites his friends in. “Now guys, there is only one bed so we will have to take turns resting and keeping watch. I’ll have the first watch. Falco, you rest first.” Without arguing, Falco jumps into the bed, and heads straight to sleep. The other three stay outside to watch over the Haven. Later, when Falco wakes up, he heads outside where the others fell asleep themselves. He wakes up Fox, who heads inside for his turn. This goes on until all four of them are well rested. Afterwards, Mario tells them where they are going next. “And that’s where the Star Rod is. Any questions?” Falco raises his hand. Mario calls out his name. “Yeah, uh, what does this rod even do?”
Mario walks over to him and says “It grants wishes to anyone, anywhere, anytime. It can get us to have another teleporting map.” Falco nods. He understands now. “Good. Any other questions? No? Good. Then let’s go!” Mario starts over to a small cliff and jumps up it. The others follow. Later at the palace of the Star Spirits, trouble is going on. Mario and the gang walk in and notice what’s happening. Mario yells “Bowser?! What are you doing here?”
Bowser turns to face Mario. He notices that Bowser has the Star Rod in his hand. “Hello again, Mario! Nice to finally meet the Smash Bros.!”
Falco whispers “What does he mean, ‘Smash Bros.’?” Mario whispers back “I think that’s us. Nice name! I think we’ll take it!”
“What was that? What are you talking about you fat plumber?” Bowser booms at them.
Mario turns back to him, eyes blazing a fiery red. “Nothing that concerns you, you fat Turtle Bastard!” Mario runs over to Bowser. They commence to fight, RPG style. Mario’s turn: He picks jump attack. He walks over and jumps on top of Bowser. It deals a total of 68 damage points! “OUCH! You’ve gotten stronger! So, that cat-like freak was telling the truth! You are here for the Star Rod as well as me then, aren’t you?!” Mario nods. “And so what if I am? What are you going to do about it?”
We exit the RPG style battle, and we notice that Mario is alone on that side.

“Well well well. Looks like you are alone in this fight Mario! Bowser uses fire breath to burn the Fire Flower out of Mario. Mario returns to normal. “Oh crap.” He says. Bowser starts laughing maniacally. “You fool! You can not beat me now! I am way too strong for you to handle alone! You probably should just give up now! If you do, I promise to make your death quick and painless! Bwah hah hah hah hah hah!”
Mario begins to give up to Bowser. He approaches, face in sullenity, and says “I give up Bowser, You win this time…” He throws out his hands, and Bowser grabs him by one of them. “Phsyche! You thought I would let you have a painless death?! You moron!” “Actually, I didn’t think you would. That’s why I had a plan. Bowser, prepare to be defeated!” Mario breaks free, and stands still in front of Bowser. “Well? What are you going to do pipsqueak? Breathe on me?” He starts to laugh maniacally again. He goes in to attack, and his claw attack hits directly. It almost knocks out Mario. Mario has started to breath heavily now. “Face it Bowser, you’ve lost! Just give up!” Bowser seems skeptical. “What are you saying? Are you insane? Did yo eat too many mushrooms on the way here? I’ve won! Open your eyes shroom-boy, You’ve lost! Get over it!” Mario stands up straight. Holds out a hand, and throwsa a single fireball. It hits Bowser directly in the face. The fireball explodes, and when the smoke clears, we see that it had no effect whatsoever on the King Koopa! “You see?! I’ve won! Get over it! You need to understand. I’ve won. You’re just getting too old for this. So am I, actually, but I have that certain spark to life. I can keep going. You, apparently, can’t. Give it up. If you do, I will allow you to live. But you will be under my command. Whaddya say old foe? Become allies?” Mario thinks it over. Then finally says “Fine. I give up. I’ll sever you.” Bowser jumps up. “WHAT?! SERIOUSLY!? Damn! It was that easy?!” Mario stands up. He walks over to Bowser, and bows. “All hail mighty King Bowser, King of the Mushroom Kingdom! All hail. Hail. Hail. Hail!” Then, without warning, Mario sucker punches Bowser. Bowser flinches. “Wait, how did you do so much damage?” That punch left a solid mark on Bowser’s skin. “Because you no longer have the Star Rod you moron! Look behind you!” Bowser, still shocked by this sudden outburst, looks. To his surprise, the Star Rod is gone! Fox, Falco, and Luigi are all behind him. They are in the possession of the Star Rod! “How the-How the-How-“ “Simple. While you were rambling and talking with Mario, we snuck up and took the Star Rod while you weren’t looking!” Luigi yelled at him. Bowser turns to Mario. “You mean to tell me you planned this all?!” Mario nods. Bowser seems pissed off. “You little-“ then blam! A star hits Bowser in the side. He is sent off flying out the door and bouncing all the way back down to Star Haven. They look at Luigi, who is currently holding the Star Rod. “What? He was getting annoying.” He holds out the Star Rod. “Mario, remember why we came all this way? Maybe we oughta wish for it now.” Mario nods. He asks the others to join hands and they all wish for another map. Nothing happens. “Mario, why didn’t it work?” Mario shrugs. “Eh-eh.” Eldstar comes over. “May I see the Star Rod please?” They hand it over to Eldstar and he looks it over. A few moments pass, and, “Ah-ha! Here’s the problem! Luigi accidentally turned it off!” He hits the on/off switch. “Now it should work!” He gives it back to Mario, who wishes for another map, and poof! They have another map! But this one is silver and a shining gold. Eldstar floats over and says that they got the Star Map. It can teleport them to any place at any time they want! There is no pre-chosen places or times or anything. It’s all them! They hand the Rod back to the Star Spirits and they head outside. “Hey Mario?” Fox asks as Mario oens the map. “Yeah? What is it?” The map starts glowing a blue color. Luigi gets sucked in first. “Why didn’t we just wish that none of this ever happened? Wouldn’t that have worked?” Mario facepalms. “Yeah! That would have-“ they both get sucked into the map. Falco follows in after them. They vanish into thin air. Then, from behind a tree nearby where they were, Mewtwo comes out holding the original map. “Curses! I knew I shouldn’t have trusted that overgrown turtle! He wasn’t any help at all! He only delayed them. I guess I should try him then…that is where they are going next, so…yeah. Yes! He should do just fine!” He reads the inscription on the bottom of the map again, and he, too, disappears into a blue portal. He drops something before he leaves however, and it glints brightly. A star kid is passing by, and notices it. It goes over to the glinting object, says “Ooohhh…prettyyy…”, and it’s a picture framo showing a huge demon-like creature with horns, black and red rough skin, and a long tail. In the background, it shows a man in green with a shield and sword, attacking the creature. There’s a caption underneath the photo. It says “Ganon”.


End of Star Rod chapter


They all fall down into familiar territory. Mario looks around. “Haven’t we been here before?” Falco and Fox look around too. “Yeah, it seems very familiar around here.” Luigi gets up off the floor, since he landed a belly flop, and looks around too. “Isn’t this that Link guys’ Temple of Time he mentioned?” Mario uses a fireball in his hand like a gas lantern. It lights up the whole room. Surely enough, they are in the exact same place they ended up in last time. They hear a loud snoring like sound from the shadows to their right. There is a glow of three gemstones. One red, one blue, and one green. Luigi uses his electrical abilities to become glow-in-the-dark and walks over. All they can see is Luigi’s green glow. “Hey, wake up.” They hear Luigi talking. “Wake up dude.” The snoring halts and they hear someone talking back to him. “Five more minutes mum.” They hear someone turning around. Luigi leans down. “I said…WAKE UP!” There is a rustling sound, followed by a voice. “Huh? Wait, who are you? Better yet, what are you doing here? This place is off-limits to all but Hylians and religious groups. Explain yourself for being here.” The person gets up and turns on the lights with two claps. The blazing lights blind the Smash bros., and once they get adjusted, they see what seems like a ninja. “Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shiek. Now tell me, why are you four here?” Mario approaches Shiek, and tells him that they are here for some boss battle. They don’t know who, but they have got to fight somebody. “And that’s why we are here. We don’t entirely get how we got here, but here we are. Any clue who we may have to fight?”
Shiek scratches his chin. “Well…maybe the evil king Ganondorf could be who you are after.”
Luigi walks closer to Shiek. “Who’s Ganondorf?”
Shiek adjusts his outfit, and starts to explain. “Ganondorf is a Gerudo. The male Gerudo of this century. He was their king for a while. The ‘King of the Gerudo Thieves’ quite literally. He found the Triforce seven years ago, and grabbed ahold og the Triforce of power. A third of the entire Triforce. I got the Wisdom third, and a young boy named Link got the Triforce of Courage.
Mario’s jaw drops. “Did you say Link?”
Shiek nods. “Yes, Link. A Hylian who was taken into a Kokiri village to be cared for. He was chosen to be-“
“Are you Princess Zelda?” Luigi asked.
Shiek seemed to jump. “What are you talking about? How do you know the princess?”
“We don’t. But Link told us all about this land the last time we were here.”
Shiek gasps. “You guys were here before?”
They all nod.
“Do you call yourself the Super Smash Bros. by any chance?”
They all nod again. Mario steps forward. “Yes we are! But how do you know us?”
Shied adjusts his suit again. “A cat-like creature told me. He also tole me that you four were evil villains sent to anhilate the Princess by Ganondorf himself!” Shiek draws out some small needles. “So prepare yourself!”
Shiek jumps torward them and tosses out the needles at them. Fox uses his deflector to bounce them back. They hit Shiek in the chest and continue going right on through! Shiek exhales deeply. “How did you do that?!” He asked Fox as he landed bleeding. “Simple. I used a gadget called a ‘deflector’ which bounces back any and all projectiles. That obviously includes your little needles.”
Shiek lays down on the floor bleeding over the floor. Mario walks over and sets a mushroom down next to him. “Here. Eat this. You’ll get healed up a bit. Trust me.”
Shiek is wheezing. Holding his chest, he replies “Why should I trust you of all people? Ganondorf sent you to defeat me and deliver me to him! I will never trust you!”
Mario shakes his head. “That cat thing you spoke of is a pokemon named Mewtwo. He, for some reason, hates us and wants us dead. Here is a group you can trust! The Super Smash Bros.!”
Fox taps Mario’s shoulder. “Why is that our group name? Noone voted for it. Plus you never asked me or Falco about it. So-“
“Now is not the time for that Fox. Now Shiek, why would you trust that fiend Mewtwo?”
“He had Link by the throat. He was telepathically talking to me through a crystal ball. I saw him for myself! He had Link there with a knife of darkness to his throat! In a matter of speaking, he literally was torturing me-uh I mean, the princess.”
Luigi taps Shiek on the shoulder. “Give it up Zelda. We know already.”
Shiek looks over to the others who nod. She envelops herself in a crystal shaped cocoon and she comes out beautiful. She had elven-like ears and was human looking in every other way. Luigi starts drooling.
“This is what I really look like. And yes, I am Princess Zelda. As you can probably guess, I can use magic.”
Fox seems to doubt this. “What you talking about? Magic ain’t real!”
Zelda makes a gesture with her hands and says a simple “Yah!” An explosion is emitted from a small pulsing red ball that appeared next to Fox. He takes a bit of damage.
“How did you-“
“Magic. You should believe in it since you are after all a talking Fox.”
Fox doesn’t respond. Falco seems to start to say something, but stops himself before doing so.
“So you say you have to defeat some kind of a boss? Follow me. O’ll take you to Ganon’s castle. My ex-castle. He took it over by force with the Triforce of Power. I couldn’t stand a chance.” She walks out the door and gestures for them to follow. They seem to mull it over first.
“Well, should we trust her?”
“She seems Ok to me Fox. You Falco? Luigi?”
She’s alright with me.”
“She’s pretty Mario.”
They all look at Luigi. Mario asks “What?”
“I said she’s pretty.” He catches himself. “Uh…pretty reasonable with her accusements. I say we trust her.”
They all nod in agreement. “Then it’s settled! We take on this Ganondorf and help save all of Hyrulle!”
“Hey! Are you guys coming or not?”
They turn to Zelda. “Yeah we are coming!” says Luigi.
Later on, after a while of walking, they head through town and head North. They managed to get past a horde of Re-Deads, and managed to make it to the Castle. There was a bridge of all the colors of the rainbow there connecting the castle to the cliff. “He’s in there at the top. That’s where Ganondorf is at. I cannot follow you for I am too weak to help you now. Not after that hit I took.”
“I told you to eat that mushroom! Now it’s gone bad. So, unless you got a magical fairy or something, you just stay here.” Mario said to Zelda. Zelda fixes here hair, and proceeds on. “Good luck against Ganondorf guys! Oh! And if you somehow manage to meet up with Link, join up with him! He is strong in this world. Trust him, he will help you out!”
The four of them already headed out for the castle. “Go figure. They decide to ignore me all together. Well, back to the temple!”

Meanwhile, back in the castle, up in the tallest tower,

“What do you mean ‘I’m not the strongest opponent’? You’re not the only threat to my rule?”
Link nodded. He is chained up against the wall. A giant shadow was looming over him. “That’s what I said and that’s what I meant Ganondorf! I’m not the only heroes to have been in this area. The Smash Bros. will stop you!”
Evil laughter insues. “Bring them on! If I can stop you, then I can stop them! But, given into proportion I could only beat you thanks to the information that cat thing gave me, these guys should be easy compared to you!”
“You don’t know them! There are four of them! No way can you defeat them all at once! You’re doomed Ganondork, just give up!”
A yellowish-white ball hits Link. He winces in severe pain. “BE SILENT FOOL! I can take anyone, anytime, anywhere!”
Link whispers under his breath “We’ll have to see about that.”
The door bursts open. It’s like a bomb just exploded the wall apart! That’s when Ganondorf sees them for the first time. “…This…is it? This is your hope?! These four?! HA! HAHAHAHA! Bring them on! I can take them! Come on Smash Bros.! Swarm me if you dare!”
The dust clears and the four of them walk in calmly. “Are you Ganondork?” Mario asks.
“The name is dorf. Ganon-dorf. Not dork.”
“Yeahyeha whatever. Are you him or not?”
“Yes I am. Why does a fat plumber, a skinny chicken, an orange dog, and a guy who loves green going to do about it?”
Falco grows purple from rage again. “THIS!” He charges in and shoots at Ganondorf. He shields himself with his cloak. “Hah! That all you got? I’m still raring for more over here!” Falco makes another move. Mario stops him though. “Falco, wait a minute Falco. Ganondorf? Do you mind if I ask a question?”
Ganondorf chuckles. “Sure. Go on ahead.”
Mario approaches and hops over to the center platform. He holds up a sack. “Tell me, do you know who these two were?” He opens the sack and tosses the contents ont the floor. It’s two heads. One with icy blue hair and one with fiery red hair. They both had white eyes. “They called themselves Twinrova. They called themselves your surrogate mothers.”
Ganondorf swoops over through the air to the two heads. “Mom? Mom? Are you alright?” The heads don’t move. “Let me guess. .You killed them, didn’t you? You killed my mothers! I’ll kill you! I’LL KILL YOU!!!” He swoops in and grabs Mario by the throat. He holds him up against a wall. Mario is gasping for air. “Yes, I killed them. So what? Witches deserved to be burned! You dan’t do anything to bring them back now! It’s too late! Unless…nah. You wouldn’t want that.”
Ganondorg seems desperate. “What? I wouldn’t do what?”
“you wouldn’t release me and allow me to revive them. I can you know, I am a very powerful wizard. You want proof? Let me down and I’ll show you.”
Ganondorg seems to think this over. “If I do, you will revive them?”
Mario nods his head. “Yes I will. No tricks, I promise.”
Ganondorf thinks it over one last time, and puts Mario down. “Thank you. Now watch this.” Mario walks over to the two heads, and he pulls out two green mushrooms with white spots. “Watch this.” He tells Ganondorf. He starts to chant some gibberish and lays the two mushrooms down and puts them into the mouths of the heads. He starts to chant louder and louder, and while doing so, the two heads rise up. Color is returning to their faces. Then, when Mario finishes up his false chanting, they are revived with a bright flash of white light. They are revived and it’s proven once the light’s gone. The two witches are up and yakking again. Then, once they shut up, they notice something wrong. “Uh, aren’t we supposed to be, you know, dead?”
The red haired one nods. They both look at Ganondorf who points over to Mario. Mario is now cloaking himself in his super cape. “Thank you my dear plumber! You have revived us from the dead! Even we an’t do that!”
Mario chuckles to himself. Not for drama, but because they are all believing his little tale of being a wizard. The two witches become one single witch, and they ask “how may we repay you young wizard?”
Mario kicks the dust at his feet. “Just one thing actually. Just don’t allow Ganondorf to become king anymore.” Twinrova nods and they tell Ganondorg to cut it out. He shakes his head no. “I don’t believe you Mario. You bring them back just to try and stop me? Clever, but not good enough!” His eyes start to glow red and the yells as he dives up through the ceiling. Twinrova follow after him. Then, after a moment of silence, the four of them go over and free Link. Once Link realizes what just happened, he askes the group about Zelda. “You say you met her outside the castle in the temple? That’s not possible! She’s in here! That’s why I am here to rescue her! She’s right up there, see?” He points up to the top of a nearby organ. Surely enough, Princess Zelda was there. She was encases in a red ice like crystal. “I don not know who it was out there you guys met. Maybe a Gerudo in disguise or something. There have been rumors of some Gerudo thieves not liking what Ganondorf is doing. Anyway, we have to save her now before they come back!” Luigi tosses a green fireball towards the crystal cell of her’s, and he catches her as she falls. She kissed Luigi on the cheek. He blushes redder than Mario’s clothes. She gets up and runs over to Link and kisses him too. But on the lips instead of the cheek! Luigi seems crushed. Mario pats his back. “It’s alright Luigi, you still have Daisy you know.” Luigi nods and wipes his eues, and sets out for the door with the rest of the group. Link and Zelda join them. As they get outside, the castle starts rumbling. Zelda gasps. “Oh no. He’s back. Ganon’s here! Everyone run for the exit! Hurry!” Nobody questions this and they all run for the exit. They end up dodging falling boulders and rocks on their way down, and they barely make it out as they run out the front door. At the bridge, they turn to watch as the castle crumbles down into a flat arena-shaped area of land and stone. They watch for a few moments after it’s all destroyed, and nothing happens. “Well, I guess nothing, not even Ganon, could have survived that destruction. Let’s go.” Says Link. The others head for the bridge. Mario pulls out the map. “Wait a minute!” They all stop and turn around to face Mario. “Something is wrong. Very wrong. The portal won’t open. We aren’t done yet.”
Luigi ane the others rush up to him. He is holding the map up and surely enough, it’s not glowing a blueish color. They really weren’t done yet. But nothing came upfrom the rubble either. Mario puts the map away andgoes over to the crashed tower in the center. He inspects it closely. He looks around it and he sees something peeping out from the rubble. He sees some white, eye-sheped thing. It weemed to watch him as he moved around. He throws a fireball into it, and it closed up fast. It rears up and in front of Mario, right there, was a demon like thing. Zelda screams “It’s Ganon!” Ganon rears up it’s ugly head and pulls out two twin swords. Mario attacks it, but every attempt was blocked by it’s two huge swords. Then, as Mario charged up a fireball, Link runs in with his Master Sword and swings it around violently, hoping to make contact with the demon. Ganon simply flails it’s right arm and hits Link, sending him soaring towards the group. He dropped his Master Sword when he got hit. “It’s weak to the Master Sword Mario! Use it against him!” Zelda yelled to the battlefield. Mario nods and goes over to pick it up, but Ganon gets in his way, and picks it up himself. He goes to attack Mario with the three swords-the two twins in his hands and the Master in his tail’s grip. He hits Mario with the twin swords, but Mario manages to defend usin the fireball he charged up. It lessened the damage, but not by much. Then, Ganon charges in at him, Mario is defenseless now, and all seemed to be doomed for him. Then, Shiek comes in and defends for Mario. Using only two needles, he stops the attack! Ganon looks back and forth from Shiek to Zelda. There can not possibly be two of them he thinks to himself. Surely enough, Shiek uses a Deku Nut producing a bright flash of light, stunning everyone. While the light is bright, Shiek attacks Ganon with a tennis racket! Yes, a tennis racket! Followed by a golf club! Then, once the flash of light is gone, everyone notices that Ganon has been defeated on the ground in front of them. In Shiek’s place, a lovely woman in yellow dress and brunette with a golden crown, can be seen. Luigi’s jaw drops. Mario gasps. Fox and Falco seem to be paralyzed with shock staring at the woman. Luigi just can’t seem to speek, but Mario obviously can. “DAISY?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!” he yells at the woman.

Daisy approaches Luigi. “Hello darling! Long time no see!” uigi’s jaw is still on the floor. “How did you-“ Daisy puts a finger up to his mouth to stop him. “Allow me to explain…”
She tells how Bowser somehow got control of the entire Mushroom Kingdom after they left Star Haven and how he took over Sarasaland as well. The only clue she has as to how this happened, is a purple cat-like creature helping Bowser by giving him minions that she has never seen before. “They not only overwhelmed our defenses, but they had power over the elements as well! There was this dog or lion thing with blue fur and a yellow mane that brought thunderstorms wherever it went! It was like Luigi pissed off attacking everything he saw! There was also this one dragon that brought fire with it everywhere. It’s tail was on fire, and I think Mewtwo called it a charizard or something.”
Mario and Luigi ask how she lost a battle to these things. She said that they came in too great of numbers. “They were simply too numerous! We couldn’t fend them off for very long! It was a horrible loss. It was like the movie 300 all over again!” She droops down and starts to tear up. “I don’t understand how those things could be so powerful, yet so small! They were so difficult to defeat!” Luigi comes over to her and pats her back. “It’ll be okay Daisy. We’ll get your-I mean, OUR kingdoms back. If it’s the last thing I do, I’ll make sure of it. You can bet your life on that!” Daisy looks up to Luigi, and nods her head. Fox walks over, and taps Luigi’s shoulder. “Uh, not meaning to break you two up, but we might need to get going here?” He points over to Mario who is holding the map. Falco is already over there waiting for them. Daisy gets up and grabs hold of Luigi’s shoulder who looks up at her. “I’m coming with you.” Luigi jumps back yelling “like HELL you are!” Mario walks over to Luigi. “Actually, it may be a good thing if she came with us Luigi. She probably won’t be safe here, and she can’t go back home, and…wait a minute…Daisy, how did you get here anyway?”
Everyone turns to look at Daisy. “I found Mewtwo, as you called him, and saw that he was mumbling to himself about you guys and something called “Ganon” or something. I jumped into the portal it made with a map and next thing I knew, I was here. I tailed after it, but it was too fast for me. I found some spare clothes and some odd nuts that flash, and I decided to take matterss into my own hands. I took off in persuit of it and I wound up in that temple place. I took a short nap and I was awoken by you guys. I didn’t know if you guys were real or not, since this place is very weird to me, so I pulled that hoax on you four. I followed you afterwards when you left for the castle, and I was watching you the entire time. I wasn’t gonna let no mad magician beat up my Luigi that’s for sure!” They all nod and decide to believe her. Then, without warning, the map in Mario’s hands starts to glow a blue color. He gasps and tells everyone to get ready to go. They all gather up their bearings, and jump into the portal when it decides to show itself, thus leaving Zelda and Link alone on a deserted wasteland of a castle. Once again, in a tree not to far away from where the five left, an ominous figure was watching them. A purple cat creature scoffed to its self, and opened up a portal of it’s own. Then jumped in taking with him a few twigs from the dying tree.

The four guys land safely on the canopy of a forest. Daisy lands face-first on a tree near the others. “Yeah, it takes a couple of times of this to get used to it.” Luigi tells her as she gets up brushing dust off her dress.
“Hey Fox, any idea where we’re at now?” Falco asks.
Fox just shrugs. Mario looks at the map. “According to the map, we are in a place called “Congo Jungle”. I do not know what world that’s in. But this place does seem very familiar.

Suddenly, a monkey runs by them. It’s wearing a red hat and a shirt with a yellow star on it. It runs by but stops a little ways off. It turns around, looks at them, and heads back. It approaches Mario. It lifts it’s hand and points to Mario. “Mario? Is that you?” it says to everyone’s surprise. Even Mario jumps. “How do you know me? Have we ever met?” The little monkey puts it’s hand down and takes off it’s hat. “DK told me to give this to you. He thought you might be on your way here. So, here ya go!” It takes an envelope out of his hat and gives it to Mario. It’s return address isn’t shown. “How do I-“ “Oh yeah! Here ya go!” the little monkey pulls out a wooden knife and hands it to Mario. “Oh.” Is all he can think of to say. He takes the knife, and struggles to open the envelope. After a little while, he gets it open. He pulls out the letter inside and begins to read it out loud.

“Dear Mario,
Wassup?! We haven’t seeen each other for a long while…but I need your help. I’m desperate! You could probably tell that since I’m asking you for help. I’ve been captured by King K. Rool again, and Dixie has been taken hostage as well. I’m here with her now. She says that you had beter hurry up! She’s losing her sanity! Hurry up please! You can find him at the top of Crocodile Isle. It’s just due north of the Congo Jungle area. Please Hurry!
Sincerely, your friend,
Donkey Kong”

Mario puts the letter back into the envelope. Luigi comes up to Mario. “Who’s Donkey Kong?”
“He’s an old foe and friend. We used to be enemies, but that’s all in the past now. We’re best buds now! And we’ve got to save him! Dixie too! Little monkey, if I remember right, DK talked about you. You’re…Diddy, right?”
The little monkey claps his hands together. “Yes! Yes it is! What an honor to meet the Mario Mario!” He looks past him to Luigi. “And I’m guessing that he must be Luigi Mario!” Luigi blushes a little bit. “Yes I am. What of-“
“You have to help DK and Dixie!” Diddy interrupts. Luigi kinds droops down a little bit. “We have got to get there and help them escape! The last time I checked, the Crocodile Isle was due north of here. Come on!” Diddy takes off in a hurry, ego trailing not far behind him. Mario looks to the others, they shrug, and they decide as a group to follow and take care of this K. Rool character.
Now, due to the length of this story so far, I will summarize what happens. They fight Kremlings, Zingers, other minions, then they make the swim to the Crododile Isle, they climb all the way up while fighting off different creatures, and eventually the bosses. First, Krow, then Kleever, later on Kreepy Krow, and the others. Eventually the defeat K. Rool, and go on to the next world. Once they reach the end of the portal, something is very wrong.

“What do you mean ‘you don’t know where we are at’?! You have the freakin’ map in your hands!” Mario shrugs back at Falco. They are in a dark abyss like room with nothing surrounding them on all sides. Suddenly, a blue flash zips by the five of them. Luigi holds his hat down so it doesn’t fly off. “What the hell was that?” Mario watches the direction that the blue flash flew off in, with a serious look of anger on his face. “Hey Mario, any idea…Mario? What’s up bro?” The others turn to look at him. He is standing, unmoving, like a statue facing towards the same direction. Then, the same thing rushes by again, faster this time. Mario takes off in hot pursuit. The others just watch in a confused like state, staring off at the red blur taking off after the blue blur. A few long minutes pass by, and Mario returns. Luigi stands up. “What was that all about?” Mario looks up at Luigi, face all happy but angry at the same time. “You’ll never believe this, but-“ the blue blur rushes toward them, roaring like a jet engine, and stops making a huge dust cloud that engulfs the five of them. Once the dust clears, Luigi screams “NO WAY” as loud as the roaring was from earlier. The dust fully settles, and we see only the legs of this thing. They’re blue with white socks, white and red shoes, and a golden shoe buckle on both shoes. We slowly pan upwards and notice it’s white oval for it’s belly and chest. We continue panning up, and we see it’s head, but not it’s face. We skim upwards diagonally past it’s face. It’s hair resembles sideways flames going in a single direction with the wind. It also has a small tail. “Heh, long time no see Mario. Last time I saw ya, we were in the Olympic Winter Games. How long’s it been now? 2…3…4 months maybe?” Mario walks up to it. “Yeah. It hasn’t been long enough though, if you ask me!” “Heh, you haven’t changed a bit, have you? Am I to assume that Daisy and Luigi haven’t either? Is Luigi still a whiny little chicken and Daisy as controlling as ever?” Mario nods. “Sadly, yeah. However, this time, you’ll do battle with me alone Sonic the Hedgehog!” We zoom in on his face. Looks like maybe the equivalent to a 12 or 10 year old boy. “Wouldn’t have it any other way. Let’s do this!” Sonic and Mario both pose, ready for battle. “Mario, is this really necessary?” Luigi asks. “Yes it is.” “Why?” I have no clue. But it’s important to me for some reason…” Luigi starts to question why he thinks that, but as soon as he sees Mario’s face, he quickly backs away.
“You ready for this, ‘speedy’?”
“Depends. Sre you ready for me?”
“Bring. It. On. Blue-boy!”
Mario and Sonic both rush in and start to match punches, jabs, and kicks. This goes on for what seems like an hour, and then, Mario hits Sonic square in the chest. This sends him flying back into the darkness. Sonic starts to approach, but is stopped by something grabbing his arm. “This isn’t the time nor the place for this silly feud Sonic. We have to go now or else we’ll lose him.”
“Let go of me! I need to finish this!”
“No, you don’t. And, you won’t either. You are coming along now whether you want to or not.”
Sonic untenses a little, and turns to face the dark area where the voice came from. “So what if I don’t go? What you gonna do, huh? Force me to?”
A short silence. “Yes. If it comes to it, I’ll force you to go.”
“Always the party-pooper aren’t you? I was only having some fun. It’s Mario you know, and Luigi is here too. Daisy and two other also I think. Maybe you could ask to fight one of them. We have enough time to spare, and we have plenty of time to kill! Come on, I wanna finish him off!”
A long moment of silence. “The answer is no. We need to go now if we are ever to retrieve that last Chaos Emerald before Eggman does. We may have six of them, but if he has even one, we can’t stop him. Not ever since he teamed up with that thing.”
Mario can’t help but to butt in here. “By thing, do you mean a purple cat-like creature?”
Sonic turns to face Mario. “No, that’s Blaze.”
“No, taller than that, and naked. Long tail, ball shaped tip, three fingers to it’s paws, like that?”
The voice from the darkness responds before even Sonic could. “Yes! That’s it! How do you know about it?”
“We have had our own little run ins with it too. It calls itself Mewtwo. It’s a pokemon. Don’t ask me what those are, because even I don’t fully understand them. Apparently, just animals ans creatures that can control elements, or they’re phsycis, or something. But yeah, we have known him for a little while.”
Sonic turns to the other voice. And whispers “should we invite them along? They know more about it than we do. For all we know, it could be awaiting us at the end, ready to ambush us. We could use the extra peoples and the extra power.”
Silence.
“Well? What do you think?”
Silence still.
“If you don’t answer, then I’ll ask them myself.”
“Fine. Invite them if you want, but be quick about it. We’re running out of time!”
Sonic walks over to Mario and the others, who are now sitting down next to each other talking about what Sonic and the other might be talking about.
“Well, we had a little talk, and…well…Mario?”
“Yeah?” Mario stands up.
“Would you like to come along?”
Mario flinches from shock. “You are asking me to join you? On an adventure of your own?”
“Yes I am. What of it?”
“Sorry. I can’t. We are on the exact samee kind of a mission now. We’re saving the worlds of different people.”
“You too huh? Well, fine then. I asked, so-“
“Hurry up Sonic!”
“Hold your horses Shadow, I’m coming!” He turns back to Mario. “See ya later then?” He holds out a hand.
Mario looks at the hand, then back at Sonic. “Sure, why not?” He holds out his hand. They shake on it. Then, Sonic takes off into the darkness and Shadow, barely seen at all, follows after him. Mario notices that Shadow is holding a map kind of like the first one that they had. They all hear a sound similar to the one that their map makes when they are about to teleport. A blueish light envelopes an area of the darkness, and quickly vanishes. “Luigi! Did you see that? They also have a map! GAMER must’ve contacted them too!”
Luigi is still in the concept that a blue hedgehog was talking to them not too long ago. “How was that thing able to talk?” Daisy walks over. “Don’t thnk about it too hard. Otherwise, your brain might pop!” Mario can’t help but to snicker. “Ha ha ha. Very funny Daisy. Shouldn’t we be focusing on how we are supposed to get out of here?”
Mario pulls out the map. He looks on the bottom of it. He sees an inscription that was on their first map. It’s perfectly identical! “What does this say?” He looks over to the group. “Anyone good at decoding?” Fox steps forward. “Let me see it.” Mario hands him the map. He looks on the bottom where Mario points at. The inscription. Fox stares at it for a while. “So…what does it say?” Luigi asked after several more minutes.
“Hang on. I almost got it done…Ok. It says that ‘whosoever reads the inscription on this map, will have the ability to travel between time and space’. At least that’s just a rough translation.”
Mario notices the meaning of the translation. “Maybe that’s how Mewtwo gets around so fast! Let’s give it a shot! Fox, can you read the rest of it?”
“I’ll give it a shot.”
Fox starts to squint at the tiny wording on the map. He starts to speak in an odd language that no one has ever heard in abuout a thousand years!

The map starts to glow a bright blue. They are about to teleport! “It worked Mario! You were right!”
“I normally am!”
They all get sucked into the vortex, and they land on an arena-like platform out in a void of space or time or something similar.They are surrounded by a spinning purple vortex that seems to be endless in both directions. “Luigi, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore!”
“What’s Kansas?” Luigi asks.
“MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
“What the hell was that?!” Falco yells. Then, the five of them notice that a small blue portal has oopened up a little far away from them. Mario turns to Daisy. “You can not be here! It’s too dangerous, even for you!”
“I don’t care what you think Mario! I’m staying here and that’s final!” She scoffs a loud humph. Mario glances over to Fox who nods. He takes the map and utters the odd incantation again next to Daisy. The blue portal opens up, and she gets sucked in. Fox folds up the map before they all get sucked in.
Daisy continues to fall until she lands on a lush green garden. She looks around. She sees a statue of Mario carves in stone on top of a fountain. “I’ll get them for this…”
Back with the protagonists, they start to ljook around for what caused the crazy laughter. They see the portal. They watch as it’s size doubles, then triples, then quadruples! Finally, a white glove enters their area!
“Mario! It’s…uh…it!”
“No Luigi, it’s not! That’s a Right hand. We saw-“
Fox steps in. “Does it even matter?! Obviously, this hand is the cause of all this chaos! Maybe we ought to-“
“Defeat it?” Mario finishes for him. “I was just thinking the same thing.”
The four prepare for the worst. The hand lands on the eastern half of the arena. It looks like a normal gloved hand flexing it’s fingers. Then, it turns into a fist, and punches all four of them! They fly off and land next to the edge og the arena! They get back up. “Maybe we should try tag-teaming it! Fox! You first!”
“Gladly.” Fox jumps back in the fight, and the gloved hand starts to try and poke him. As Fox fights it off, Luigi remembers something. “Mario! Didn’t GAMER tell us about another hand called ‘Master Hand’? It was a right hand, and this is a right hand, they’re both gloved, so…”
“Luigi, I think you are on to something!”
“I know I am. But what I don’t get is-“
Fox flies by them and grabs the ledge. He jumps back onto the floor, and charges back in.
“-why GaAMER would call ‘Crazy Hand’ handsome.”
Fox lands with a loud thud next to Mario, who doesn’t seem to notice. “Maybe, that was Crazy Hand trying to trick us?”
Suddenly the entire are turns a pitch black. Even Master Hand stops fighting. It “looks” around for the source of this interruption. Then, through the darkness, another portal appears. This one, though, is black and red. Another gloved hand appears, but this one is a lefty!
“SHIT! THERE ARE TWO OF THEM?!” Falco screams at the top of his lungs. Fox sees this, and can only say one thing.
“…..FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-“
Master Hand grabs him. Crazy Hand floats over to Mario and Luigi. “SO, YOU FINALLY REALIZED IT HUH? WHAT GAVE IT AWAY?”
“Two things” they both say in unison. Mario says “One: You called Crazy Hand ‘handsome’.” Luigi steps in. “Two: You said we had to fight the real characters. We didn’t have to at all!”
In unison “And Three: You just said ‘what gave me away?’”
Crazy Hand seems to flinch slightly. “NO MATTER. WE WILL CRUSH YOU RIGHT HERE AND NOW! MASTER HAND! LET’S DO THIS!” The other hand makes an ‘ok’ sign and they start tag teaming on Fox! He is grabbed by Master, and then jabbed severely by Crazy! Different combos are used on him. In the end, Fox is thrown to the others, unconscious.
“WHO’S NEXT?”
Mario steps up, only to be pushed back by Falco. Falco rushes in at top speed and is then ‘noogied’ by Master and Crazy has a seizure! The seizure bounces over to Falco and tosses him over next to Fox. Luigi goes in next. He too, is knocked out! Now it’s Mario’s turn.


Beginning of Final Chapter


Mario approaches the two hand whom are crossing their invisible arms in impatience. They uncross as Mario steps up to the plate, ready to hit a home run. His expression is very serious. “You may have defeated my friends, but you cannot possibly defeat me!” He pulls out a Fir-Flower. Crazy Hand gasps (not sure how but he can talk so it doesn’t make much of a surprise) when he sees it. “DON’T YOU DARE! I’LL WON’T ALLOW IT!” He swoops in and hits the Flower away from Mario. It stops just at the ledge. Mario gasps as he watches it balance on the ledge. It wobbles back and forth, and eventually falls off. “NO!!!” he screams. He crawls over to the ledge and looks down. Crazy Hand continues to laugh maniacally. “YOU LITTLE FOOL! A MERE FLOWER CAN NOT DEFEAT ME! LET ALONE A FAT RED PLUMBER!”
That’s when Mario sees it. He stands up and turns to the hands. “What about a blue hedgehog using a Fire-Flower?”
Crazy Hand twitches slightly. “WHAT…DID YOU JUST SAY?”
Mario points behind him. A Fire-Flower is rising up. Holding it, is a blue hedgehog which is being circled slowly by seven colorful gems. “WHAT?! YOU?!”
“Yes me. Hello GAMER! It’s payback time! I-er…we heard all you said!”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE?!”
Sonic continues to float upwards. Holding onto his shoe is a black hedgehog. “WHAT?! YOU TOO?!”
“Yeah, me too. I take it that if you lied about everything to them, then you lied to me too. You can’t bring Maria back, can you?!”
“WELL-UM-YOU SEE-IT’S-LET ME EXPLAIN!”
Mario steps up. “Go on then.”
Crazy seems to sigh. It makes a sighing like sound anyway… “YOU SEE, I WAS CREATED TO DESTROY. I NEVER REALLY WANTED TO DO IT, BUT I AM FORCED TO! IT’S AGAINST MY WILL! SAME WITH MASTER HAND HERE, ONLY FOR CREATION. WE ARE DEITY’S THAT CAN NOT LIVE THE WAY WE WANT TO! WE WERE BROUGHT TO YOUR WORLD BY ACCIDENT, AND OUR JOBS KINDA KICKED IN. WE COULDN’T CONTROL OURSELVES! POLYGONS AND OTHER THINGS, WE COULDN’T STOP! IT WAS AN UTTER NIGHTMARE!”
Silence. Then Shadow jumps onto the arena. Sonic, emeralds still spinning but not activated, also lands down onto the arena. Shadow approaches the hands. He looks up for a dramatic effect, and looks back down. He snickers slightly. “You thought you could fool me? Them maybe, but not me!” He takes one of Sonic’s emeralds and yells “Chaos Control!” He disappears. Then, above Crazy Hand, he reappears and kicks hard on it’s middle finger. . He bounces off of his own kick and lands in front of the hands and Sonic. He gives the emerald back to Sonic. “Thanks for letting me borrow it.”
“Uhh…your welcome?”
Crazy Hand starts to flail around. That kick did a lot of damage. “THAT HURT YOU LITTLE DI-“
“Finish that word-I dare ya” Shadow says to the hand.
“I WILL KILL YOU FOR THAT!!!” He lunges inward and punches at Shadow. He ducks and it hits Sonic instead, making the emeralds drop down to the floor. Mario watches as Sonic skids to a halt right next to his fallen comrades. He turns to Shadow. “What now?”
Shadow crosses his arms and humphs. “WE don’t do anything. I take car of this thing.”
“Like hell! It took out my friends too you know! I don’t care what you say, I’m helping!”
Shadow glares at Mario who stands unmoving. “We don’t have time to argue about this Mario, so-“
“So let’s drop it and just fight!”
Shadow seems to be taken aback slightly. “Fine. Just don’t et in my way.”
“As long as you don’t get in mine!” Mario says in a certain tone that Shadow recognizes as Sonic’s. “Just don’t-“
“Incoming Shadow!”
They both jump back just as Crazy Hand slams down a fist where they were both standing. It hurts him slightly. “Time to fight now Shadow?” Mario asks sarcastically. Shadow glares at him again and scoffs. This time they attack it as it’s still recovering from it’s own attack. Mario punches hard and Shadow judo chops it harder. This flattens the hand out on the ground. They jump back to watch what happens next.
“YOU SERIOUSLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME WITH THOSE WEAK ATTACKS? MY GUARD WAS SIMPLY DOWN. NOW YOU WILL BE CRUSHED! MASTER! LET’S GET THESE TWO TOGETHER!”
Master Hand goes in to grab Shadow and Crazy Hand goes to Punch the air above Shadow. Shadow jumps to dodge Master and is then hit hard by Crazy. As he is flying upwards, the two hands start to applaud. The sound wave hits Shadow and the clapping itself hits Mario several times. They both land next to the fallen heroes. They aren’t down and out yet however! “Mario, do you have anything that could help us out here?”
Mario looks around. He spots the Fire-Flower still in Sonic’s hand. He runs over to grab it, but then it dissolves into Sonic’s hand! Sonic floats upwards and begins to glow a red color. Like Knuckles but darker and a bit more like a burgundy. He floats upward to straighten himself, and stands up perfectly straight. He opens his eyes suddenly for drama, similar to that time in SMBZ ep. 9. He has become “Fire Sonic”! He looks at Shadow and Mario, who both seem impressed greatly, only Shadow is trying to hide it. Mario sure as hell doesn’t mind screaming his head off saying stuff like wow, awesome, and etc.

(Personally, I think it is coming along greatly!)

[Shadow Doll]

Fire Sonic charges in and starts using fiery moves on the hands. They are a little too fast for him though. He starts being barraged by attacks from the hands themselves! He dodges left and right, but eventually he starts to get a little bit tired. He gets hit hard by Crazy Hand and starts to fly off into the distance. Mario catches him just in time. The momentum though drags him all the way to the edge. Sonic is unconscious now, and the Fire-Flower has worn off. Mario has to pull him up and onto the arena to save him. After doing so, he turns to Shadow, who is currently trying to fight the hands off, but to no avail. He gets hit hard and takes off in Mario’s direction. He drags his hand on the ground and lands on the floor, feet still skidding towards the edge. He stops just at the edge! “Mario! They’re way too strong! It’s like trying to take on a Super Sonic and Super Mario combo!”
Mario runs over to Shadow. “Then why don’t we even the odds a bit.” Shadow looks up to Mario and sees that his gaze is averted elsewhere. He follows his gaze, and sees the seven Chaos Emeralds. “I thought Sonic used them.”
“Apparently not. You want to try it?”
Shadow stands up. “There is no guarantee that it’ll work though. It could sap all of our strength!”
Mario looks to the emeralds, then the hands, then back at him. “That’s a chance I’m willing to take. Are you?”
“Hmph. You don’t know me very well, do you?” He walks over to the emeralds and picks them up. Crazy notices what they are doing, and attacks Shadow without warning. He barely misses, letting Shadow know about him trying to stop them. That means that they have a chance at beating it if it’s that desperate to stop him.
Shadow gathers up all the emeralds and rushes over to Mario, dodging Master and Crazy Hands’ attacks. He gets over to Mario. The emeralds start to spin around them. At that moment, Crazy Hand slams down his palm on top of them! “GOTCHA!” He lifts up his palm, and notices that they are standing there unharmed! Emeralds spinning around them, they start to go Super Form! Shadow’s black becomes a bright yellowish gold, and Mario’s red clothes turn a golden color. His blue becomes a darker yellowish color. His eyes have gone a deep red color, his hat has become a bright whitish gold, and his brown shoes have gone pure gold! This is the true Super Mario!

Super Mario taps Super Shadow’s shoulder. “Who you gonna get?”
Shadow holds his chin. “I think-“
“Too late! I call Crazy Hand!” Super Mario takes off. He flies like a bird and dive-bombs like a falcon right into Crazy Hand’s crushing grip! Crazy Hand countered perfectly! But then, his grip starts to shake. Super Mario breaks free, and this severely harms Crazy Hand. Shadow is attacking Master Hand. But, Master Hand had a little surprise for him! He uses a laser move with all of his fingers and traps Super Shadow! He exits his Super Form and the Chaos Emeralds, all seven of them, bounce over to the fallen heroes. At that moment, Luigi wakes up slowly. “Ow. My head is pounding.” The emeralds bounce right in front of his face. “Huh? Ooohhh…prettyyy…” He goes to touch one, and they start to spiral around him. “WOW! What’s happening!?” They spin faster and faster, and his green becomes a bright golden greenish color, his blue becomes a dark golden color, and his hat goes, strangely enough, a pitch black. The white stays white and the “L” on his hat becomes a bright green. “Whoa! What happened to me!?” Shadow is thrown out of Master’s trap and he lands next to Super Luigi. “You’ve just gone Super Form! Go and help Mario! He needs your help!”
Luigi looks over to the dashing red and golden light and notices that it does indeed resemble Mario. Luigi floats upward and flies over. “Luigi? What are you-“
“No time for that now! Just use your fire powers!”
“I don’t know if I can.”
“You can if I can do this!” Luigi jabs the air in front of him and he sends out a huge wave of electricity. It hits Both hands! Mario’s jaw drops. “Your turn Mario!”
Mario recovers quickly and uses a fireball. Only it’s the size of a boulder! It strikes Master Hand, defeating him. Crazy Hand turns and yells in anger when he sees Master on the ground defeated. He turns around to the Super Mario Bros. and just takes off in the shape of an enormous fist! He strikes Luigi who flinches, but, the punch was a direct hit and yet, Crazy Hand took the damage! It didn’t leave a mark on Luigi at all! Luigi turns to his brother, they nod in unison, and they make a “Kamehameha” pose. Crazy Hand charges up a last-ditch attack in the shape of a punch, and then he hears them start talking. Mario and Luigi both are in perfect unison. “Suuuupeeerrrr…Maaaaaarrriiiooooooo…”
Crazy Hand know what is about to happen. He charges in and when he is only 5 inches away from making contact, it happens.
They both scream BRRROOOOOOOOSSSS!!!” and Mario’s Super-Fire Cyclone combines with Luigi’s Thunder Tornado, turning it into the ultimate elemental attack. The Super Mario Brothers Storm! It hits Crazy Hand as he was that close, and it sends him flying back into Master Hand. He starts to struggle to get back up, but Mario and Luigi both step on him dramatically. That captain pose thing. Captain Morgan I think…anyway, they do that.
Crazy Hand starts to sputter, then talks weakly. “YOU WELL NEVER GET OUT OF HERE ALIVE. MASTER HAND WILL MAKE SURE OF THAT! IF I GO DOWN, THEN YOU GO DOWN WITH ME!”
He grabs Master Hand, and slaps him against the ground, cracking it, and taking the entire place with it! They had to get out of there! But they couldn’t just leave their friends, and they couldn’t save them all either! What could they do?!
“Luigi, go get Shadow. I have an idea.”
Luigi does as he was told, and brought Shadow over. “What is it Mario?”
“shadow! I need your help! You can use Chaos Control freely, right?”
“Yes. But how will that-“
“Use that to help save them. I’ll get Fox and Falco. You get Sonic and Luigi. Now go!”
Shadow uses Chaos Control and appears next to Sonic. Luigi follow him. Shadow takes the Chaos Emeralds from Luigi, forcing him out of Super Form, and he uses them to turn into Super Shadow. He uses Chaos Control.
It doesn’t work. The Chaos Emeralds were too drained! They had no more juice in them to teleport everyone!
“This is bad, very bad. Mario! I can’t do it! The Chaos Emeralds are too drained! Do you have any power we can use?”
Super Mario floats down and his Super Form, too, deactivates and return to the Emeralds. Their glow isn’t very bright anymore like they were earlier. “No Shadow…I don’t…I don’t know what to do now.”
Shadow looks down at Sonic. “If only you were awake, you’d know what to do.”
The floor cracks even more, and shakes more violently. The entire arena explodes with sound, and both hands fall down into the dark abyss below. The cracked land starts falling down, piece by piece around them! They’re goners now! They all fall down into the abyss, Mario holding Luigi, Fox, and Falco closely, and Shadow holding Sonic closely. Sonic wakes up slightly, and notices right away what’s going on. He pushes Shadow away and then they all hear a roaring sound. We pan outwards and something grabs all of them in a fast flash of gold and blue. The arena breaks completely now. There is no more “Final Destination” anymore.
Final chapter

“How did you know we were in danger?” Sonic asks the pilot of a biplane with the name “Tornado MK III” on the sides. “I didn’t! I was following your energy signatures through an interdimensional gateway. I was able to mimic the map’s energy signature before you left!”
“That would explain how you got there in the first place. Thanks a lot there old buddy” he says with joy as he tousles the pilot’s head. He has yellow fur and white tips on his ears, snout, and on the tips of his two tails. “You’re welcome. So, how are our little stowaways?” he asks jokingly. Sonic walks over to the others. They are currently talking about how everything went. Mario is explaining how they beat the hands. “So we both went into the Super Form as Shadow calls it, and wow! What power those little gems had in them! My clothes changed colors! You should’ve seen Luigi though! And…Sonic? What is it?”
Sonic walks over. “Are you guys ok?” They all nod.

[Shadow Doll]

“That’s good. I was worried there for a second." Sonic walks back over to the pilot. He starts to talk to him again. Shadow walks over to the group. “You sure you guys alright? Even after that battle?” Mario nods. Then Luigi. Shadow seems to be relieved. “That’s good. I was hoping you would be…after all, after Sonic is gone, who else will there be to challenge you Mario? Heh-heh-heh…” Shadow grins to himself. It’s like he wants to hide his emotions. Mario can see through his little act. “Shadow?” he asks.
Shadow turns around to face Mario. “What do you want?”
Mario approaches and holds out a hand. Shadow looks down at it and back to Mario’s face. “What is this for?”
Mario scoffs a little. “It’s for saving our butts out there! What do you think?”
“Look Mario-“
“That’s enough Shadow. Stop acting. I know you are feeling happiness right now, so don’t try to hide it from me. I can see right through you. Now come on, let’s shake on it. Friends?”
Shadow reaches slowly, brings his hand back for a few moments, and then reaches out completely. They shake hands. “Here’s to hoping we meet in the future, hopefully under better circumstances. Friends.” They shake on it. “Agreed” Mario says.
“Hey Shadow! Hurry up! It’s time for us to go home!” Sonic yells while standing next to the pilot.
Shadow turns to face them. “Hang on a minute will ya?!” He turns back to the Super Smash Squad. “Thanks for that little fight. I needed some practice if I’m ever to beat Sonic at his own game!” He turns and takes off towards the Tornado MK III and he jumps onto the left lower wing. Sonic takes the other. They look at each other, nod to the pilot, and “alright Tails! Ready for takeoff!”
“Gotcha!” says the little twin-tailed fox. “Main thrusters online! Main reactor online! Engine charging! Here we go!”
There is a loud roar as the engine starts up. Luigi covers his ears. They plane lifts upward, vertically, and booms into the distance. Opening a blue portal about 3 seconds afterwards. The four continue to watch as the portal slowly closes. Then suddenly-
Fox spontaneously poses and says “Mission complete!”
Luigi just poses readying a Thunder Jab.
Mario poses as well, but with his cap raised above his head.
Falco just spins on the spot and poses afterwards.
Then…


Epilogue


“ADVENTURE MODE COMPLETE! CONGRATULATIONS!”
“Wow! What a game!” says a small child about the age of 7 or 8. “That was totally worth my months worth in allowance!”
We find ourselves in a living room with green carpeting, blue wallpaper, and a ceiling fan in the center. There’s also a couch, a recliner, and a TV. A Gamecube is plugged into it. “Thank god that they decided to release another Super Smash Bros. game for the GC! 50 bucks may be a bit much, but the graphics and everything is totally worth it! I wonder if I unlocked anything?” The boy goes to the main menu and looks up unlockables. It says “CONGRATULATIONS! YOU UNLOCKED A SECRET!”
The boy, curious, clicks it. The screen goes black. Then, a short movie starts to play. It’s a promotional video of gameplay for the game! “Cool!” is all that he can think to say. Then, when it shows Mario, suddenly the screen freezes. “What the?” Then, Mario starts turning towards the boy. “Awesome!” Mario looks right at the boy. “These graphics make him almost look real!”
“That’s because I am real Geoffrey.”
The boy looks around whimpering “who said that?”
“I did.”
Geoffrey looks at the screen. It’s still paused. “That can’t be right, maybe I was playing too long…”
“You weren’t playing too long Geoffrey, you actually saved us all. Thank you.”
Geoffrey sees the Mario on the screen talking. Talking to him. The game is talking to him. “I must be dreaming…”
“This is no dream Geoffrey, no dream at all. It is all real. And you saved us all! We must thank you sincerely and generously!” Mario reaches out of the screen, pulls Geoffrey in, and when he opens his eyes, he is in an odd room. He hears whispers all around him. He looks around. The room is completely dark. He can’t see anything past the bed he is laying on. “Who-or what-are you? Show yourselves please…” he says whimpering. “Don’t hurt me!”
The whispers cease. Then laughter can be heard. “What’s so funny?”
“You thought we were going to hurt you? You saved our skins out there against the hands! Not only that, but you did it without having us die even once! Do you know how incredible that is?” says a teenage voice.
“Psshh…he cannot possibly be him. He’s too cowardly. You sure you grabbed the right one Mario?” says an older voice with a pinch of dark in it’s tone.
Another voice is heard. “Yes I’m sure Shadow. I watched him go to the unlock screen and watch part of our movie! I know it’s him!”
Another child-like voce starts. It’s younger than the first one. “Dear boy, do you know how long we have been in here? About 3 years! Nintendo was working on a sequel to the Melee game for the Gamecube, but then the Wii idea came out and Brawl was released instead of us! Now we want out, and we want it bad!”
Geoffrey looks confused. “Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that you are all the character from the game?”
“That’s right!” says another voice, “This Star Warrior knows his people! And you, my fine fleshy friend, are the one who helped us defeat the hands!”
“I still don’t fully understand…” Geoffrey says after the last voice was done speaking. Almost immediately after that, “we need you help again Geoffrey. We can’t defeat this menace by ourselves. We need your help in person this time. Can you handle that?”
“Depends, can these lights turn on?”
clap clap
A bright flash fills Geoffrey’s eyes, and once they adjust, he sees that what the voices were saying were true. “You guys are really real?!”
Mario scoffs. “Took you long enough. Yes, we are real. Like I said earlier, we are real. And like Shadow just said, we need you help again. This time, Bowser’s found a new power. He has tripled in size, tripled in power, and we can not defeat him alone. So, can you help us?”
Geoffrey looks around. The faces on the characters are looking desperate. “Yes. I will help you all!”
They all cheer. Except for Shadow, who just stands there with his eyes shut. Mario steps up. “Alright! It’s settled! With Geoffrey helping us, we can do anything!” They all cheer as if just inspired to go to war. “However, Geoffrey, there is one last thing. You do love our worlds in Smash Bros., right?” Sonic asks him.
“More than anything!”
“Good. Because if you want to, you can stay here, forever. You can fight, chat, fight people over the Internet if you want to, and even choose how you look and fight. Agreed?”
“WHAT?! Is that even a logical question!? I said I will help you and I will do so!”
“Then choose your characters looks and fighting style-and be quick about it!” Shadow says, slightly agitated.
Geoffrey ponders over this. “I choose a hedgehog with golden fur with…how about rocket shoes like Shadow’s only a bright golden instead of red and a darker golden instead of black, the power of Knuckles in my arms, skill with any physical weapon, and my super move is Super Form. I can control any element, including light and darkness, which I use to power up my physical attacks. However, when in Super Form, I can control three elements at once if I choose! My best stats are agility, jumping, and power. My defense will be sort of low, my stopping speed about average, and my speed will be about C+ potential.”
“One last thing. What will your name be?”
Geoffrey thinks about it for a long while. “How about…”
BOOOOMMM!!!
“What the hell was that?!” Geoffrey yells.
“Giga-Bowser is attacking us directly! He has never done that before! Hurry up Geoffrey, finish it!” Shadow yells at him in anger.
He just freezes in fear. He get his act together after the second boom, and he says, “My name will be, ‘Elemental the Hedgehog’!”
Geoffrey glows a bright golden color, and then flashes brightly. After the light fades away, in his place is a golden hedgehog exactly as he described! “Whoa!” says a deeper voice in place of Geoffrey’s, “what? Oh wow! My voice even changed!”
Shadow grabs his arm. “That’s nice-now come on!” They all head out the door. They slam it on their way out, waking a sleeping Luigi. “Wha…? Wait-where is everyone?”
The door opens again. Mario grabs Luigi’s arm. “Hurry up will ya?! He got here, changed into proper attire, and we’re heading out to defeat Giga-Bowser right now! So-“
BOOOMMM!!!
“DAMNIT! He got away! Mario and Luigi, hurry up! We have to follow after him now before we lose him again!”
“We’re coming Shadow!” Mario yells out before dragging Luigi out the door. We follow them and watch them as they rush off in pursuit of a giant turtle-like creature, three times as big as Bowser, and we rise up into the clouds. A ‘to be continued…’ message appears in front of the sun.

There's too much dialogue. That's the major issue. I am not one who is fond of stories filled with too much dialogue. Issue two is that every character is out of character, they don't act like themselves. But I cannot really give an honest review besides those main two points because I was lost in the walls of dialogue. Don't get me wrong, I actually read fanfiction, but usually it is done in a way so the readers don't get too bored...
