Unknown presence in Pisgah National Forest

Ok, this may sound crazy, but believe me. I can sense the chi (for lack of a better word) of others naturally and passively. (It must be because of the small amount of Native American blood in my veins, since I am 1/64th Cherokee, or at least that's what my mother told me)

Anyway, I was riding my bike deep within Pisgah National Forest, when I felt a strange presence ahead. It felt like a total void, and I faintly heard many voices screaming. I had also noticed my strength draining much faster than usual. So I turned back and headed for the trail-head. That's when I noticed that the strange presence was following me. It also seemed like it was taking forever to get back. (the endless road is aptly named). I tried to build up enough speed on the downhills so that I could coast uphill in order to conserve my strength. When I reached the trail-head, however, the presence was gone.

My question is, could this have been an encounter with a Tails Doll?

However, it may not be TD. It may be a demon or something else...

Chi is one of the few things I can believe in when it comes to the super natural so I don't deny your powers, but Tails doll...you may have been a bit scared of the sudden screams you may have thought it was Tails doll, thus you thought it was following you. I get that way to when its night time and im alone.

Oddly enough, this was in broad daylight, at about 11:00 am. And I did feel that it was following me. I just mentioned this to see if TD might be an explanation, since at the time it happened, I didn't even know about the tails doll except what I did know from the game Sonic R (poor excuse for not including the real Metal Tails).
