I believe the so called curse is just a story/fanfiction someone started, I don't think SEGA would make up a curse about one of there own characters, that could lead to a downslide in there sales.

I wasn't really talking about the curse, I was talking about the character. I totally agree with you on the curse.

Though I can't say I believe in the curse entirely, it is possible for it to be real. The fanbase did start the idea of the Tails Doll curse and stuff, but this could mean two things.
1. As Tails Doll may be a type of spirit/demon (Higher dimensional conciousness, spirit: usually not solid, demon: usually solid. Just my idea, anyone got better definitions?) thing to some extent, it could have crossed over from another universe and reality to ours, using the idea of itself as a beacon to guide it here. Everything has to happen somewhere, why can't something interesting happen here? This could just have been the SEGA creation, not the fanbase.
2. Did fans make the curse up or was there a reason they said there was a curse?
IS IT REAL?
Seriously though, what were they smoking when they made this character?

Anything can be made scary if its written well enough or someones dumb enough to believe it and spread it around. What makes me see this as fanfiction, cause theres so many so called truths about this thing it just sounds like a mess of bad story telling. The fanbase made the Tails doll into this, if you look at this from SEGA's point of view, this could scare little kids into not playing a Sonic game, thus lowering SEGA's profit. Also does anyone know what this curse is? Like what are the effects, I would like to know so I can get a better idea of what im talking about.

Why else has the Tails Doll not appeared in any game besides Sonic R? It has to be because some independent idiot came up with the idea. Btw, this could actually be proof that the Tails Doll, like Saru, Miyu, and Fey from the unreleased Star Fox 2 game, isn't currently canon to the series.

Tails doll has appeared as a card in one of the sonic rivals games and why would they bring back Sonic R in gems collection if hes cursed or whatever? Infact this information proves my point even more.

Well I think they believe in it a LOT less than we do.
Also, I believe the card was actually a Tails doll from Gamma's shooting stage in Sonic Adventure DX, those were just stuffing.
I've never played Sonic Rivals but many sources tell me that's what it was.

I remember seeing a video of someone trying a curse for the 2nd rivals game which I guess had a TD card, I could be wrong due to my poor memory of the video.

I think it's because they were too lazy to come up with an actual Metal Tails. That's why it is known to the installer (At least the Sega PC version) as m_tails.cab. It makes no sense otherwise. If I can get a new copy of that game, I can take a screen-shot of the directory. Uh, I own the Sonic R for PC and they label it as dtails. Infact, all the files pointing towards Tails Doll are called dtails

We must have different versions of the game, since mine labels it as m_tails.cab, though for some reason, the .cab file is password protected (the archive password is icanfeelthesunshine, oddly enough...), even though all the others aren't. But then again, mine was published by SEGA PC along with Sonic CD and the Sonic 3 and Knuckles collection (I got mine in the Sonic Action Pack by Scholastic inc.).

Ahhhh! You people just sad to watch. Why he was made into a doll? Isn it obvius? He was made to rivalize Tails! What we know about Tails? He is the youngest and a scaredycat wussy, so a spooky doll would freak out Tails and he may would not ven dare to face him. That simple.
