Anyway, from the point of view of the new reality the person would have been with TD the whole time so that's a very good way of putting it.
Just pay attention to the above if this confuses you, this is an explanation.
If something else went back in time and killed your father you would vanish as you would never have existed. If you went back in time and killed your father you would be fine because you would no longer be part of your timeline. To the dimension of time you would be another person and would not be affected by anything like that.

hi Pyromaniac. here is my question. why would he erase peoples memories when he could just kill people with memories of them. That would solve the problem

No, that has too many flaws. If he killed people with their memories, that would mean no one can remember. Your explanation is too lacking.
