A friend of mine bought Gems Collection a while back. First he played Sonic R; completing it 100%. Then he played Sonic CD and beat it after getting all the Time Stones, BUT after doing so the game froze and crashed when it tried to load the FMV.
He told me that his gamecube crashed more often the older it got. So this might just be a simple case of an old gamecube crashing. After all, my friend beat the PC version of Sonic R at 100% when he was a kid and nothing's happened. But then, he doesn't believe in Tails Doll.
I have heard that you should get all the Time Stones on Sonic CD first before playing Sonic R. Perhaps TD didn't want my friend having a way to protect himself against him so he made the gamecube crash just as the FMV was about to load? I doubt it. It's probably just an old faulty gamecube. Nintendo does not build things to last. But you're all welcome to draw you're own conclusions from this.

Odd. Verry odd....but then again, my gamecube I've had for a few years now and it's crashed before.

I doubt it's anything unusual.

I also doubt that it's anything unusual. The reason I posted it though, is to give people something to think about. As in, "Well, a rational reason was given. Perhaps we shouldn't jump to conclusions. Plus, if someone can beat Sonic R at 100% and nothing happens after several years time, then maybe we shouldn't be afraid". That's why I included the fact that my friend beat the PC version when he was a kid and nothing happened to him, and still nothing has happened to him though he's beaten it again years later on Gems. We shouldn't be afraid of our own shadows when it comes to this.

Oddly, Sonic R is the Only game that won't work on Sonic Gems for me.

Wait, Tom. How old is your Gamecube?

A gaming console is like a computer, anything important inside can break it. If somethings old it becomes slow and or breaks causing the whole thing to break. Somewhat like with the 360's red ring of death, over playing it overheats it and kills the inside of it. Maybe the gamecube was old, maybe something is loose inside it, who knows? There is no proof the TD did any of this. Everything is false until proven true, somewhat like you are innocent until proven guilty.

Ok...yeah I've had my game cube for a few years, like 3 or 4 years years. The white yellow and red things broke. They don't work any more so now I have NO gamecube I have to wait a few months before I can try that glitch on S3&K...--

I thought I would just mention this while the topic is still up here...
I'm proof of the "beating Sonic R 100%" thing not causing anything. I did that, (oddly enough, with the Tails Doll) and the only Tails Doll I got besides the playable character, was the picture you get when you beat the game (it was easy for me since I got everything on radiant emerald at the same time [Dr. Eggman, Super Sonic, and the credits]. Yes, you have to beat radiant emerald after acquiring all 7 chaos emeralds to get Super Sonic, or at least in my game... Idk, mine was glitchy...).
P.S. I did it on the rare third release for the PC that also came with the Sonic and Knuckles collection and Sonic CD. I think it was in a three game set called the Sonic Action Pack...
