I done some so called personal researches and I made a really possible theory! I copy it directly from my research diary.
2009. mar. 24. Dark Souls
There is a theory that dark souls exist near pure souls.
IF my theory is true then they are exist!
1.They job is to protect the Purest souls because multiple reason
2.Darkness Can't exist without Light, so as Light without Darkness
3.So If the Purest souls would disappear they would disaapear too
4.They protect them because Darkness always try to find protection and lead under light.
Like insects wandering hoplessly in the dark night, and when they find a lamp amazed by its beauty they try to get the close to it as much as they can, even if they know they can burn them self with it!

If! There wouldn't be Darkness, there wouldn't be Light.

I've already mentioned somewhere on this site before about there being a possibility of the 7 darkest souls...
but yeah, it's a possibility.

Sorta what I had in mind, but we've already had this piece before. ^^;
I actually always had the idea as how the 7 purest souls are the opposite of the 7 deadly sins, that maybe the 7 dark souls actually represent the deadly sins. O:
But nothing is certain.

I used to watch FMA and liked it, too. But...we're not talking about that now. ;-;
