So yeah today I 'graduated' from middle to high school, officially making me the most hated grade in school! Yay! Graduation itself was pretty boring. A lot of you guys probably had similar graduation. It was basically kids walking up and getting a certificate for different things, and applause. I was unfortunate enough to be right behind an incredibly popular kid, so I was kinda embarrassed when the applause volume cut to half when I went up. Bad graduation video/bad music choice, and my parents kinda left without a second thought afterwards. I'm trying to milk this event into getting a gift or something. Oh god I feel like I'm rambling. Anyway, I would post pics/etc, but my school is really tight-assed about showing the insides of the school, I could easily get expelled the second they find a video of my school on YT. ;~; Regardless, it was kinda interesting. I'm beginning to miss a lot of the kids who are leaving too. There's so much emotion going on on my FB right now/after the graduation ended. how were your middleschool/highschool graduations like??

I had no graduation in middle school... Just a small boring assembly where we got certificates if we passed... Then I went into high school, and not much changed. But I wont graduate for another 3 years... But, at least, I am no longer a freshman...

I got an $100 savings bond at my graduation. And to think, it was for having a good spirit with things. I got a few other awards, but, I got like $150 from family. At the ceremony, I didn't get my diploma, which felt kind of awkward, since I needed to finish a test called the NYC State Test. Anit was for Social studies, so I was surprised I even got a diploma after it. But at heart, all I can say is, "Money is all that matters". And of course, that I don't have to attend summer school, unlike the other 40% of the eight grade. Anyway, congrats.

It makes no difference whether this topic is new or old. The senior class graduation lasted an hour to two hours I obtained a core40 dimpolma. Your life changes so much after highschool have to look for a job but, yeah off topic. Anyway a few people cheered(aka my family) for me nothing huge they didn't want people to cheer one person after another was called up to recive their ticket into college. The sad part is the people who did get cheered for were the frist people in that persons family to graduate from high school. One girl I was sitting next to was getting kind of annoyed when certain people cheered for their family member it was nice to talk to a few people before leaving. We were in the few last rows everbody had graduation parties they were going to or holding. Any one who graduates from highschool please hold a party for yourself! Oh yeah I forgot to mention we had to were black gowns if you graduated honors you got to wear a rope around your sholders to display such a wounderful accomplishment. When we shoke hands with all our higher ups unforately for me I forgot to flip my yellow tasal to the left like everyone else. Got contacts from a few people here and thier in my cap(what else am I going to use it for I thought about useing the whole outfit for a halloween costume) Fliping your tasal over is supposed to symbolize crossing over from a non grad to a grad. After I got a card with a hundred dollars on it to go to Pennys. Yeah before we went to a chinese restrant our family hung out toether to bash Obama wacthing a new report of how the golf of Florida was polluted with oil they seem to be doing all they can.

Eh, my school only had something called " Awards Night". It's basically what TDF said, which is receiving certificates on the stuff you've been good at. I only got one, and that's the A/B Honor Roll, but meh, I actually worked hard to get 95s and aboves.

Differences in ages and grades always confuse me. :-/
Anyway, yeah, I was 'promoted' this year too. We sat in metal chairs, they gave us blank computer paper rolled up to look like a certificate, we went and got our real certificates, I wandered around trying to find my parents, they wanted to take pictures of me with my classmates, we took the pictures, a staff member was trying to keep parents from going into the school but they were blocking only one of a bazillion entrances, I wondered what kind of an idiot assigned them to that job, and then we left and ate lunch.
Oh yeah, there was also an awards night a few days before and I won one for history and science. I was told I didn't get English because I already had two and there were only so many spots.
Yayyyyyyy predictable ceremony.
Congratulations to everyone else who made it through a year of anything, as well.

Scary thing is, almost half of the entire eigth grade had to go to summer school. And a few got left back. And for some was not handing in an envelope on time. Geez....

Haha, the only award that revolved around our academic curriculum was the Academic excellence award which basically meant you had to be perfect in everything. Every other award revolved around extra stuff.

My graduation was pretty formal. Got a lot of gifts (mostly chains) and a trip.

My graduation party sucked ballz. I went, being told that there'd be prize-winning games and good music so that even a social retard like myself would enjoy themselves. I was truly lied too. The music was like that shit they have on Disney channel, and the closest they got to a game was the photo-booth. I had to stay there for 2 HOURS,(mainly because my house is a half an hour away from my middle school) mainly eating candy and watching a slideshow of people I either don't like or don't know.
