Do You Believe?

How many of you out there believe in ghosts and spirits? Right now I currently have doubts, although I still find myself in situations where I believe. ( I mainly only feel like there are ghosts and stuff and night, probably because I.. Uh... Have a fear of the dark. x: )

When I was a kid, I remember I used to think I had a "Guardian Ghost" named Jay. When I was over at my friends' house we were scribbling on a piece of paper, and we asked that if there was a spirit with is they should write their name on it. We left the room, and when we came back, there was a mark in the shape of a "J" that I thought wasn't there before. I was really young, which is the only reason I ever believed that. Silly now that I think about it. xD

*Cough* ...But aside from that, what is your opinion of ghosts and why?

Yes, I believe in spirits, ghosts, and the like. There is good evidence, and I can just feel something strange sometimes. I had some encounters when I was little, but were most likely my imagination. But the idea of ghosts spawned my fear of bathrooms.
I had a dream where a monster came out of my TV and brutality killed my parents, so I hid in the bathroom. It was haunted in there...
I dreamed a witch tried to seduce me with candy, but I ran away. She teleported me to the bathroom, where a ghost ate me.
I dreamed I killed a man in the bathroom, who then haunted it.
In almost every single dream I have, my bathroom always has a spirit(s) in it that sounds in pain and tries to kill me.
These thoughts haunted me from childhood and implanted my main belief in ghosts... Yes, I believe a ghost haunts my bathroom...

I don't necessarily refer to spirits as "ghosts" but demons. Other than that yes, I guess I do believe.

I do. Mainly because I used to see a lot of weird stuff when I was just a kid... the weirdest one being the time when a statue turned its head to look at me angrily. -shudders- Nowadays, I don't often see spirits/ghosts/etc. ... not if you count seeing strange lights around "spirits" (And no, they aren't floaters. Those things look much more different than the actual lights I've seen).

Might as well add to the stories of why I somewhat believe:

My grandparents used to live in Tennessee, and I would go visit them for the Summers. They had one room, the computer room, that was full with a ton of electronic equipment. One day I was playing around on the spinning chair they had in the room, and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a weird, blackish shape. I looked and nothing was there, so I just went back to spinning.

I had forgotten about the indecent, until a few years ago. My grandma was telling me several ghost stories of things she's encountered. She told my that while eating dinner one of the Summers before I came, my aunt, grandpa, and herself all said they thought they saw a black shape in the computer room. They all got a piece of paper and drew out what they saw, which was an oval-like shape. Which, of course, matches the thing that I saw as well. ( Luckily they lived in Arkansas at the time, so I didn't have to be afraid of anything. It was still a bit unnerving though. )

Meh... They are out there, but I've never had encounters that I could confirm. I have seen some haunted places (I could swear my old house was haunted by none other than Paul Butler, founder of Oak Brook, IL, himself), and I have sensed some crazy chi, as one might say, but nothing equivalent to an encounter of the third or even second kind.

Spirits exist. AND ONLY SPIRITS! The so caleld ghosts are just a type of spirit (like example there is lots of type of insects). So called ghosts are just the spirits of dead people whos had really high spiritual energy inside them. So instead of the spirit acting by instincts and automaticly goes to reborn the spirit keeps his mind and acts by it's own will. This usually gives trouble for them because most time they do not notice or understand they are spirit. It is even possible they mabe ghosts and have so unfinished business and what not. For those spirit probably impossible to reborn, since they not act on instincts they do not know how to do it. Poor peoples...
Anyways, do not believe in crap like going to the other side like heaven or hel or whatever! THOSE ARE LIEZ! No such thing like that exist, stupid mediums and the types of them do not send them to heaven, THEY DESTROY THE SPIRITS SIMPLY! Do not ever ask help for sending a spirit/ghost away. NEVER!
(Before anyone asks how I know so much, I study spirits. I expereinced and learned allot)

Oh yeah, I guess temper had grabbed me away a little. I am sorry, I do not watched after what I am saying, it is offensive a bit to religious indeed. My apologizes to everyone.

I highly doubt that, though. Mediums can only communicate with ghosts. If they say that they are gone, people don't believe anymore, allowing the ghost/spirit to lose power and eventually become forgotten. Mediums can communicate, but they cannot force ghosts out of homes. The same idea applies to exorcisms. The people's faith is strengthened, allowing them to will out the ghosts.
But this is all my opinion.

You can expect me to write a lot more on this topic but for now I'll just give you an overview.

I find there is good evidence for ghosts of all sorts. EXPLANATION TIME:

It is possible that ghosts are extradimensional entities.

Weaker spirits in our world would only be able to be half in their dimension, making them somewhat vulnerable to our forces. This is the sort you can catch with a proton pack.

Stronger entities could be completely in their dimensional level, merely projecting themselves into our dimension. These are what some might consider gods.

(Sidenote: Due to infinity theory, it is possible for an all powerful god, as found in the Christian faith, to exist. I'm just talking about powerful beings.)

The only way to affect the gods would be to go to their dimension and get upgraded to it. How is difficult to say but the perfect example is the Ghostbusters game.

Also, if a higher dimensional being is brought down to our level, we can kill it. As in destroy it. Condemn it to nothingness.

Of course everything is saved in existence somehow so we could bring it back... somehow.

We probably have higher dimensional parts to ourselves that we are unaware of as well. As I've explained before, we could draw energy from this state. (You know, Shadow's chaos spear?)

How exactly energy is gathered in that dimension I don't know, but I do believe it is regenerative. Once you rest up, you can do it again!

I really don't believe in ghosts.

I find it impossible that human souls can haunt the planet after their source of life(their body) vanishes. I have had instances where something out of the ordinary happens, like laying down in bed and the door opens when no one is around, because I am the only one in the house at the time, but I took the time to figure out why it happened and it was a simple thing that didn't need a ghost to exist for it to happen. I might be dead wrong about this, but this is what I believe and why I believe it.

Actually our body is a nothing but a mere shell to hold our immortal souls. I don't necessarily believe that we can come back to earth because I believe when one dies they either go to heaven or hell. That is why I refer to "ghosts" as demons since most of the time they are causing unease and trouble among humans.

Even if I have a tremendous fear of ghosts, I only see them as memories left behind, in the end. Human emotions can fuel the memories and make them stronger, or humans can either forget them and allow them to fade away or force them away.
